Nokia N73 Music Edition Charges Forever

I have a Nokia N73 ME and I thought it was the battery
When I charge the phone Nokia Logo Appears and Goes Off
I bought a new battery and so the phone switches on and works normal
When I started to charge the battery it just charges forever and battery stays low
The New Batteries Power has run down and now the same thing happens when I charge it
Nokia Logo Appears and it goes off
Both Batteries Charge in a friends Nokia N73 even my charger works as I tried 4 chargers

    how do i do a factory reset

    I have tried the *#7370# and it made no difference

    Battery is dead now and I have to charge by a friend

    I removed the memory card

    All it does with a battery that has some power is charge and charge non stop but battery power stays low

Try factory reset ...... if that does not work get it checked with the nokia service center

my n73 hand set problem is if i connect the charger on the screen displayed not charging, and i use to charge the battery charger to store power in battery. charger is working fine but hand set troubled me and the other problem is if i listen the music files after 2 minutes phone is off, in a day its happening lot of times give a complete repairing solutions.

obviously you have a defected brand new phone. i strongly recommend you to go for a warranty claim, I mean after all it's a new phone and you shouldn't have to deal with this sort of trouble. sadly, most warranty policies don't cover battery problems so you might be charged for a replacement.

How do i unlock my N73 phone(music edition)
The method of performing a hard-format, i.e resetting it completely to factory defaults and removing all data, is as follows:
  1. Switch off the phone.
  2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (call answer) button, * button, and '3' button
  3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone
  4. When the message 'Formatting' appears on the screen, release all of the buttons
Note that you shouldn't switch the phone off or remove the battery when performing either of these operations, and it's advised that the handset has a reasonable amount of battery charge before performing a format/reset. As data will be lost, you are advised to perform a backup first.

If this method doesn't work you probably will need to go to a Nokia Service Centre and have your phone flashed!
