How do I clear faults on a crown cl4 - Crown Audio Players & Recorders

Same as with any MIL Lamp or check light, you
get on your dash,you check for codes, to see if you have
a system fault,diagnose the fault & make the repairs required

Folks have to give up this stuff about resetting things

If ANY light stays light on your dash after the motor is running
or your driving-- you have problems

Clearing-- NOT-- resetting anything- is NOT- a fix for any vehicle issue

Clearly a main power amp failure. Look to the device(s) located on the big heat sink and replace them.

that is so easy, you just plus a obd2 code reader with the function of erase fault code to clean codes.

take out the old one - the cap protecting it is on the bottom, held with one screw - and insert the new one: lift and pull then press and lower it.

Hi there. Check for shorted speaker wires. (chews) Also, remove cover and blow dust out.

Do you get any Fault indications?

Have you swapped the speakers around to eliminate them as external causes?

When the channel dies is the unit very hot and is the fan turning very fast (it should be if hot)? The fan could be defective, slow or airflow may be restricted.

Turn the amp off and examine the fan guard on the rear to make sure it is clear of dust and debris. Vacuum it out if necessary. With a small thin non-metalic object reach in and test the fan for free movement by trying to rotate it. It should coast.

Common fault on FORD
Usually due to a poor connection in the YELLOW PLASTIC CONNECTOR underneath the passenger seat.
Just push it together properly and it should clear the AirBag fault
