How do you change batterie in thermoscam ear meter

hi, it could be moisture , i suggest you place it near where there is warm air, if possible remove the battery allowing air to circulate.

check then battery connection, does it use a spring steel connector ? is this moving away from the battery causing a intermittant connection ?

Start by unscrewing the lense cap retaining ring. Pinch and remove the clip from the negative (-) spring on the battery. Remove battery and slide new one in. Reconnect wire connector in between spring on the negative side of the battery. Note: some lanterns have a v'd plastic ear on the back of the reflector so when you go to screw the reflector back on, align the v'd ear with the plastic bar inside the case under the handle and slide it together until you can screw the retainer ring on.

if the laptop has bluetooth option it will be in the device manager.

Remove the ear pad on the Left ear which has the power switch on,
The remove the 4 screws, then there are two silver screws holding the outer cover in place, remove these and then tae the cover off.
You will see there are two AA Ni-Cd batteries inside these can be replaced ith any rechargable batteries you wish

i'm not aware of a tool to change batteries but Eveready sells hearing aid batteries that have a magnet on it so that you can put them in you aid easier. You can buy them at Walgreens ir CVS.

About the only thing you can do is clean the batt. cover and contacts in batt holder. Make sure batts are good. No parts are avail. for this model. However this is a rugged camera and you can buy a hand held light meter inexpensive.

check for dust on the tip of speaker points.clean the points on circut board also .check speaker with multi meter if speaker damage,change it.
