My username is 4 numbers. It won't let me log in saying I don't have enough characters. How can I log in or change my username so I can log in?

If you can't log in with your mobile number:

• Make sure you enter your entire mobile phone number, including the country code
• Leave out any extra zeros, plus signs (+) or other special characters

If you signed up for Facebook using your mobile phone, you can use your mobile phone number to log in on any device. If you still can't log in or forgot your password, request a new password.

Here are the possible reasons why you would be unable to claim a username that seems available:

• Usernames containing the words Twitter or Admin cannot be claimed. No account names can contain Twitteror Admin unless they are official Twitter accounts.
• Your username cannot be longer than 15 characters. Your real name can be longer (20 characters), but usernames are kept shorter for the sake of ease.
• A username can only contain alphanumeric characters (letters A-Z, numbers 0-9) with the exception of underscores, as noted above. Check to make sure your desired username doesn't contain any symbols, dashes, or spaces.
• The username may be claimed by a suspended or deactivated account. Suspended and deactivated usernames are not immediately available for use, so you'll need to select a different username.

Open a Web Browser and type 192.168.1.1
If it asks you for a username and password create one now.
A new page will appear, select "Wireless Settings" at the top.
On the left of the new page you will see "Basic Security Settings" click this.
Make sure "Wireless" in set to on
You SSID will be the network name, call it what you like.
Channel should be set to auto
Set security to WEP
Below it will say "select a wep key" set this to 64/40 and make sure its 10 characters lone including numbers and letters.
Save and you're good.
If wep is not good enough go to advanced wireless settings and do roughly the same.

if it is like cisco you need to log into the switch via a console emulator and a 9 pin serial null cable from a laptop in via the console serial port of the switch.

The default IP for the DIR-300 is 192.168.0.1. First, make sure you're entering "http://192.168.0.1" in your browser's address bar. In some browsers, if you try entering just the numbers, it won't work.

If you can't access the setup page at all, that address may have been changed. If this is the case, or you can't log in because you don't remember the username and password, you should reset the router which will restore the factory defaults.Press the recessed rear-panel reset button and hold it in for 10 seconds. Release it and the router will restart. The defualt IP (192.168.0.1) and username and password (both admin) will be restored.

You don't really need the CD to setup a router but it does make it easier for non technical users.

First obtain your IP Info

GETTING YOUR IP INFORMATION

1. Click on the [Start/Windows] button.
2. [Click Run/Go to next step]
3. Type cmd
4. In the command prompt type "ipconfig " minus the quotes.
5. Write down the ip address and default gateway address. They will be in the format ***.***.***.***

Now time to configure the router

1. Plug in a en ethernet cable(looks like a extra wide phone cable) into the computer you want to configure the router with.
2. Plug the other end into one of the numbered ports on the router.
3. Open a web browser and enter the default gateway address and hit enter.
4. If prompted for username and password try one of the four combos (username/password) admin/ , admin/admin , /admin and both blank.
5. Once logged in you will want to change the username and password this is generally under the "basic" or "general tab" and rename your wireless SSID
6. Only other thing you should setup is the wireless security this is generally under a tab called "security" or "wireless security"
7. Step the encryption to WPA2 PSK. Make sure to make the password with Upper & lower case letters, numbers and special characters. It's ok to write it down.

Now connect to the network you named and enter the WPA2 password and your done.

This usually happens if you used a proxy server or you have connected an IP different from your internet provider.

my suggestion for this is:
1. Change your password, the longer the password, the better. include numbers and special characters on your password
2. do not use proxy servers or other website aside from facebook.com. do not use other URL's aside from the website you are trying to access to
3. do not give out your username and password

what error message did you receive? are you using a working yahoo credentials such as your password and username? remember its case sensitive. try logging in, don't type to fast so you won't miss a letter.

when you say pin do you mean the encryption key? and if so what operating system is on the computers in which are currently connected to wirelessly ? and did you try going to 192.168.1.1 and typing in your admin info? (default is usually admin for name and no password or password as password) and going to wireless then security and you should see something written next to the generate option and hit generate and that shall be hte key
