We got a fisher price smart cycle for our boys for christmas. the pedal on the right side falls off evey other day.. I read the instructions and put the pedals on the proper way, but we keep having this issue. we keep the key to tighten it om the shelf next to all the games because it has to be within reach.. does anyone have a permanent fix for this???
Unfortunately, I am having the same problem and I am going to contact fisher-price and ask for either a new pedal or a new bike! Good luck :/

I had them send me replacement pedals and it still falls off. It's screwed on wrong. Kids can't use it because now they cannot find the pedal. I had them send me replacement pedals and it still falls off. It's screwed on wrong. Kids can't use it because now they cannot find the pedal.

We had the same problem with the right pedal continually falling off. I purchased some "J.B. Weld" from Ace Hardware, applied it to the stud on the pedal, re-tightened it back on the sprocket arm and let it set 24 hours. This was over a month ago and it has not come off or loose. It gets peddled pretty furiously at times and still holds. The cost of the J.B. Weld which is in two small tubes, mixed together and applied is less than $7.00. I am once again my Grand-daughters hero....
I am looking for a new left pedal, and when I get it I am putting a 'lock washer' between the pedal and the crank. A lock or spring washer puts pressure against the back side of the threads to keep the bolt in place. I'll let ya' know if it works...
System is all working pedals are staying on, problem is after being in storage for 5 months the pedals won't register with the game. it tells him to pedal and he does and the game does nothing

You laptop would need an RCA to USB converter plus any software necessary to display video on the laptop. Do a web search for:
"rca to usb" adapter for laptop
(with the quotes as shown above), and you'll find some for about 20 bucks online. You'll need to read the details to make sure they can display full-screen. You can probably buy locally too, and ask the salesperson if a product will display full-screen, (with the ability to return it the same day).
The child has wrapped the connector cords around one of the pedals of his Fisher Price Smart Cycle and it has completely severed the cord from the cycle. Is there replacement parts for this problem?
