I have a sandisk usb "mac format" and want to open

Do you mainly use it on a Mac? Do you want to use it for both Mac and PC? If it's the latter, you can format your USB drive on your mac using disk utility and formatting it as ExFAT. This way it will be recognized on both Mac and PC and you can save files onto it as well.

Where if you formatted it to Mac only you will only be able to write to it on Macs and not PCs.

Hope that makes sense

How to use flash drive

Cruzer Micro is an USB external memory where you can store files.
It is automatically detected and installed on all Windows OS from Windows 2000 onward, same on Mac OS and recent Linux versions.
All you have to do is plugging the device into USB.
After the flash drive had been automatically installed , it will be displayed under Computer as an external disk.
You can copy and transfer files using Cut, Copy and Paste functions, or Send to function in windows, or the file manager, depending on the OS used.
In Windows, before unplugging the memory from USB , it is better to turn off the computer or use the 'safely remove USB' function located near to the clock, on the lower right hand corner.

I really need to recover files from my sandisk cruzer

Have you tried this? restart your computer and plug your USB in again(this helps to clean the buffer), see if you drive can be recognized.

If you still can't access the data inside, try this data recovery program Wondershare Data Recovery. Get the program here,

Windows Data Recovery (Windows Version)
Mac Data Recovery (Mac OS version)

Take care - Before those items are recovered, stop saving more files to the device in case the file data are overwritten!

Micro 8GB cruzer

Hi,
Save all your files on your computer before doing this.
Uninstall U3 from settings on launchpad.
Format your USB. Do not Quick format.
Reinstall U3: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1411 (only works with Sandisk)
Drag your files into the USB. No more problems!
If anymore problems, reply!
Hope this helps!
