USB DEvice not recognized

Jvc everio gz mg130 worked fine month and a half, then all of a sudden I get this error message when trying to connect to pc....What's wrong?? USB Device not recognized...computer wonk recognize my
Everio so I can't backup and clear memory....I'm out of memory "usb not supported" shows on camera while trying to connect to PC. My camera used to work fine on my old laptop, i just connected it using a cord from the camera to the laptop and the images downloaded automatically. I have a new laptop because the old one crashed, now i have installed the software and when i try to download images from the camera it first says that the hardware is installed and ready to use, then another pop up window comes up to say "USB Device not recognized" - One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it. - i have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and nothing seems to be working. I connect the printer through the same USB port and that works fine just not the camera...please help...

Turn off the CPU unplug the power cable and all usb cables, let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. Plug power cable back in, turn on CPU, plug in your usb devices.

I have JVC Everio GZ-MG630AU camcorder and when I connect to my computer, it just says USB Device Not Recognized. I have Windows Vista and have tried all of my USB ports to no avail. My email is...

Please check the camcorder with another PC so as to confirm the hardware in the camcorder. If this is not detected then there are errors in the camcorder main processing section which is not interfacing with the external port.
however if the camcorder works with another PC then it is possible that you PC has to be reinstalled with the OS and the drivers.

Does not work w/vista

Hi,

Download the patch once again from HERE .
Note: Only after you have installed for Everio you can nstall the patch. After you have installed the patch, just connect your MG130 to your computer through the included USB cable. Then the software should run automatically.

Goodluck,

Hi i have an everio gz-mg 135 and when i connect it to my pc to back up files the message "usb device not recognised. One of the usb devices attached has malfunctioned. Windows does not recognise...

Hi,
- Make sure you have been installed JVC driver on your PC - If your PC has multi ports USB, just try other ports to make connection - check your firewire, it may be malfunctioned . Try other USB cables

USB DEvice not recognized

I had a problem like this -- tried plugging the camera in to the rear USB slots not the front ones and it worked fine.

I think that it doesn't like going via a USB hub, but wants a direct connection. All of the USB ports on my computer are connected direct to the motherboard (i.e. none are on PCI cards or anything), but looking at the hardware info for the computer, it looks like the motherboard has a few "direct" USB connections, and then an on-board hub which the front ports connect to. If your computers are the same, that would explain things. I'd suggest trying each USB port one at a time (turn the camera off before plugging in, and back on when in) and see if one of them works. Wouldn't hurt to power the camera from the mains at the time too.

Error Messages.

Hi, did you try downloading your videos through the included software? It should work best using the included PowerCinema NE for Everio. If you are using windows Vista, then you need to download a patch. Here is the link: http://www2.cli.co.jp/products/ne/update_everioM7SD/pcm4e_update.htm
Make sure you have PowerCinema NE for Everio installed before applying the patch. After this, follow a few simple steps. Turn off your camcorder. Connect the USB cable to the computer then to the camcorder. Then, turn it on. The software should load automatically, and using that you should be able to download the files. You might need administrator rights for this.

Hope this helps,
Eric

Jvc gz-mg130 and jvc cu-vd20

I had this problem with the GZ-MG505AA (connecting to WinXP SP3). I tried a different USB cable and it worked first time.
Not sure what is different about the cables (the original cable worked fine with my WM 6 mobile phone).

Vista unable to find drivers

Have you tried installing the supplied software the Setup/Install program in Administrator Mode, with Compatibility Mode set for XP? Install the software like this and AFTER you install it THEN plug in the camera, if it asks for drivers.. let it search the computer point or it to the CD.. Hope this was of some help.
