Solution
The possible reasons for this error message are as follows:

• The document is containing both image and text.
  
• The font is not supported.
  
• Embedded fonts are used.
  
• A special plug-in is used.
  

This issue can be fixed by enabling the following option in Printer Preferences .
To access Printer Preferences , follow these steps:

1. Open the Control Panel .
   
2. Open Printers and Faxes .
   
3. Right-click HP Color LaserJet CM2320 MFP Series PCL 6 , and select Printing Preferences .
   
4. Under the Advanced tab, change the Print Data Optimization from Auto to Optimize for Text and Vector .
   
5. Now try printing the document.
   
6. If the document did not print then try turning the printer off then back on. Try printing the document again.

Add more memory into your PCL printer -- each printed page is produced by your printer processing the PCL (Printer Command Language) commands. The page that you are trying to print is "too-complicated" for the printer to generate, giving the limited amount of RAM currently installed in the printer.

Or, reduce the complexity of the page that you're trying to print.

re load the software and check the buffer system

Try to update the latest firmware for your printer.

The short answer is that the PCL XL interpreter has picked up the use of the "Escape Code" (0x1B) in the incoming datastream. This command is used for the standard versions of PCL, most notable PCL 5e. It is not used in the PCL XL datastream.

That means that the printer does not have sufficient memory tp [rint the document, if it is a text document (eg word) try to print pages in groups, if it is a different document try the following:

The problem is related to a printer memory problem.

If following parameters are set in the HP 4100mfp you will receive and 'Insufficient Memory" error.
1) In 'COPYING' the 'IMAGE QUALITY' is set to 'BEST'
2) In 'ORIGINALS' the 'CONTENT' is set to 'PHOTO'

The solution is to set 'CONTENT' to 'MIXED' or 'TEXT' or set 'IMAGE QUALITY' to 'NORMAL' or you can add additional memory to the HP 4100mfp. "

try loading a pcl5 driver instead of the pcl6. pcl xl is hp's pcl6 and some times has problems.

It is a driver error, try another printer driver version or use PCL 5 rather then PCL 6 driver,

Check your USB cable it must be HighSpeed or USB 2 cable.

you can try to use the HP 5L driver instead of the canon driver, I suspect you get this error when printing PDF files
