I did a stupid thing I cleaned printing heads and put them too early back on the printer and power on... so heads don't print any more and new heads were also fired. So something is broken on the printer.
My question is 3 parts:
part 1: is there any component to check on the back of the head carrier support that could fire new heads ?
part 2 : is there any component to check & replace on the controller board that could solve the problem
part 3 is it mandatory to put a new controller board in the printer (and new heads of course) ?
Thanks a lot for any help.
Leon
Part 1: No (to my knowledge)
Part 2: Test equipment to do that test would be expensive to have for one fix.
Part 3: If you can identify the controller board as being bad, then yes. If you can't identify, then why change it?
After all is said and done, is it worth fixing? I fixed a printer for my office, it took a long time to find the replacement parts, but I got a $600 printer for about $140 in parts and labor... so in this case, it was worth it. Good luck.
