Thats caused by the DLP chip. Unfortunately most Toshiba models will end up having to have both the DLP chip and the formatter board replaced at the same time to fix the issue where as other models only require replacing the DLP chip alone to fix the white dots issue

SOURCE: screen spot

Since you have a black spot, you need to look at the mirror or inside screen. If it were a certain color, like purple or yellow, for instance, I would suggest a lens or picture tube, but, since it is black in one spot, I would suspect debris in those areas.

SOURCE: convergence problems

Well I would say the convergence amps are the culpits in your case. A common problem with all rear projection sets these days. Be real careful about buying replacements as I would go OEM only. They sell counterfits and low cost knock offs that will just frustrate you and raise the chances of damaging the board.

SOURCE: White spots are appearing on toshiba 65 m167 had

White spotting is caused by a defect in the optical engine. Repair should run around $600-750 from a servicer. Part number is 75006693

Fix a lot of white spots on mit65dlp serial wd65737

The white spots are pixels that are burned out. They will just gradually get worse. You will need a new screen or just replace the whole TV. Probably buy a new one for what it will cost to get a new screen put in it.

White spot on screen

Sounds like you are describing stuck/dead pixel.

There is no fix, it is a Pixel gone out in display panel, good chance it is just stuck and will right itself but sadly sometimes they dont and the only fix is to replace the entire display panel
Manufactures warrant such defects different depending on amount of dead pixels on screen is considered faulty, ie 3 pixels grouped or 5 separate ones .

Water spill on my AOC2216Vw LCD Monitor

Hey man, thanks for coming to me. Um yea, massaging may help but too hard will do damage since it is LCD is Liquid Crystal Display and it is fragile and easy to damage. The water should clear up in a few months, if not i would look at replacing it which can be costly. Here is a link to fix your unstuck pixels

Now im not liking that bit about how you mentioned was spreading so leave it for about two days, give the therapy for the screen a try and let me know if the laptop screen is healing. For the moment if you have one i recommend you hook up a VGA Monitor, old school stuff if you can and give the LCD a rest. I will post as a solution but comment back and i will keep helping you as much as you need it.

White spots

In addition, flash lighting dust doesn't make a white spot, but a fuzzy whitish circle (out of focus). The image underneath is still visible, but distorted. These are definitely not flash reflecting on dust.
