Will not come on at all ?

As a layman engineer for many years this laptop has got me stumped as I like a challenge and want to solve this without a shop involved ( if possible ) the on & off switch on the laptop was sometimes having problems booting it up so thinking it was faulty and though not general right to do I hot wired the switch to check but it still wont start up I only crossed the contacts on the front on the main dash under the on & off switch with 2 wires soldered each side but not 100% sure this is how you bypass the switch, before this happened in the past it worked on windows XP Pro with no problem and I have tried another charger on it to rule out any charger power problems..i would strongly welcome any in advavce any idea's you can give me on this dilemma with many thanks folks.

The power switch is a momentary switch.. Its just closing a circuit to tell the computer to turn on.. If you "hotwired" the switch to constant then it will never boot because it has a constant connection instead of the momentary it needs as its boot signal.

I bought a sentinel gun cabinet at a auction and it doesn't have a key or the combination how can i get it opend with out messing the lock up

You can try contacting the manufacturer. If the combination hasn't been changed, they may provide you with the combo for a fee once you prove it's your safe. If they don't want to deal with you, you can get a locksmith to request the combo. If neither of these options work, check to see if there is a layman group of safe and lock pickers in your area. They might take the project on for the challenge. Good luck!

E732z right usb not working

An E732z eMachine is a laptop computer. If a USB port is not working, it may be broken from the motherboard. Laptop motherboard repairs can be very challenging, often impossible if you don't have the right equipment or experience. You may be able to find dis-assembly information/instructions, however if the part itself is broken, you may have issues finding parts given eMachines less than adequate documentation for their computers in general.
More often than not, a complete removal of the motherboard is necessary to work on it. You must observe static electricity precautions. You should have experience with surface mounted devices and know that permanently damaging a motherboard is very easily done without the right experience working on them.

Hi im just wondering if you can solve my issue, the problem i have is my laptop wont charge and i have checked everything the battery, without the battery and nothing seems to work! if you could help that...

I guess you don't tell us the manufacturer & model of your laptop to make it more of a challenge ??

Well - try using the Laptop on the mains block without the battery ... most laptops will work w/o the battery - so if it works, then the power block is OK and the battery is duff = replace battery. If it doesn't work, then MOST LIKLEY the powerblock is out = check fuse & if OK, replace power block - if still no good, replace the laptop.

We have a challenger pump that operates a waterfall connected with our pool. The motor on the pump burned out. Can the motor be replaced without changing out the whole pump?

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

Yes, it is a rather common motor available thru any local pool store and also local electric motor repair shops, whose prices are likely a little lower. A common part number for it is USQ1152 from A.O. Smith. Depending on where you shop, it may have a different number but will otherwise fit without any trouble.

How do u tell when its the battery and not something else thats went wrong

Well if you go according to layman's procedure, the easiest way is to use the laptop without the battery and check whether the problem persists. If not then it is the battery, if the problem still exists even after removing the battery then it is something else which is wrong.

Hope that answers the question.
