The second hand jumps back and forth but not in 5 second jumps - in 1 second jumps.
Yes this is a indecation the battery needs changing

Your TAG is fitted with EOL (end of life) feature. This is the cause of
that 4-5 seconds interval movement of seconds hand and thus indicating
the time for battery replacement. The timekeeping is not affected by
this- it is just warning to replace battery a.s.a.p.
Find your nearest watchmaker and ask for battery replacement.

Unscrew the crown and press the lower button, this should advance the minute counting hand one press ata time. Pull ot the crown a further stop to advance the seconds hand and again to advance the tenths counter.

Has your display got a flashing display "BT" at the right hand side of the display? If it has, then it means that the battery needs replacing.
