SOURCE: I have old spa motor

The motor should work if you connect the black wire to L1, white wire to L2 and green wire to ground. The red wire should be cut so the conductor does not extend past the insulation and the end wrapped with electrical tape. This should be correct if the motor is a 120 VAC motor. If the motor is a 240 VAC motor then the white wire is not really neutral. It should be wrapped in both the motor wiring area with black electrical tape and the other end in the timer should also be wrapped with black tape.

If this causes a problem because you now have no low speed for the spa then the only way to get the low speed is to squire a 2 speed motor.

I hope this helps.

Someone cut the plug from a 230V Craftsman Compressor and wired on a 120V plug and plugged it in. What type of damage could have occured?

You should be okay. It just ran at half speed while it was on. If had been the other way around (hooking up 120v motor to 240v socket) that would have killed the motor.

Wiring for timer

T101P3 is ordinary 120Volt T101 mechanism inside a beige plastic box.
Rated 40 amp.
Three terminals A 1 2
Very small white wires that power the WG1570 clock motor are connected to terminals A and 1.

White neutral wire from breaker box connects to terminal A
Black Hot wire from breaker connects to terminal 1.
This will power the clock motor, which will switch the timer on-off.
Green ground wire and bare copper wires connect to green ground screw.

115volt motor should have 2 wires.
Connect white wire to terminal A
Connect black wire to terminal B

Wiring of the 2-5-10-15 timer to a jucuzee bath tub it has three wires black blue green. Thanks. Terry.

First thing to consider is size of Load.
Leviton countdown-timer Load rating is 1800 Watt, 120Volt.
Look inside Jacuzzi at rating plate on motor.
Rating plate on motor should give Volts, Watts and Amps.
Formula Volts x Amps = Watts.
Sometimes motor shows VA which is Watts
Is Jacuzzi on 240Volt breaker or 120V breaker?
Leviton countdown timer is not for 240V load.

A) If 120Volt electric Load checks out, here's how to wire timer if 1 cable enter box.
Timer-black-wire connects to jacuzzi-black
Timer-white-wire connects to ground.
Timer-green connects to ground.
Timer-red connects to jacuzzi-blue.

B) Here's how to wire timer if 2 cables enter box.
120Volt cable coming from breaker box has black, white and bare copper wire.
Timer-black-wire connects to black-wire-from-breaker
Timer-white-wire connects to white-wire-from-breaker-box.
Timer-green and jacuzzi-ground connect to ground

Timer-red-wire connects to jacuzzi-black-wire.

Jacuzzi-blue-wire connects to white.
I am puzzled why this wire is blue if circuit is 120Volt.

Hi, I have an old IR Type 30, two-stage compressor, model #: V242 N3. The current motor is 3hp, 1 ph,1740 rpm and may need to be replaced. Is it safe to use a full-speed, i.e., 3450 rpm motor on this...

no you need to use a compressor duty motor same rpm using a higher rpm motor will shorten the life of the motor if you have 3 phase power even better single phase motors aren't as efficient and run much hotter and dont last very long on air compressors

My dryer does not tuen off on its own anymore. how can I fix it?

More than likely the timer has gone out. It has a small electric(not replaceable) motor in the timer that advances the time. If the appliance works when you manually advance it to different cycles
thats probably the problem.

I NEED TO REWIRE A DOERR LR22132 ELECTRIC

The green should be connected to the chassis, it is ground.
There should be a wiring diagram on it to tell you how to do this, but if not:

There may be T-leads on the motor labeled
P1, P2, T3,T4,T5,T8

P1-L1(black wire)
P2-cap/tape don't use.
T2,T3, and T5 wire nut together
T4,T-8 wire nut together with L2(white)

The power leads will be coming from your switch box on the compressor body itself. Don't wire the 220v directly to the motor, you replace the leads where the first motor was connected on the cutoff switch. There will be only 2 leading from the switch to the motor.

Some motors have two speeds listed on the spec plate, study the wiring diagram on the plate to see if the speed is set by the way you wire it.(which leads you twist together at the motor)Good luck
