This is my best solution for your problem. Why don't you take all the pictures off the camera and put them on your computer once. If you use a program like Picasa (free from google) You can set the program to exclude pictures you have already downloaded to your pc, so it will only import the newer pictures you have taken. Excludes older ones that have already been imported to your PC.

Or

You could format your Camera card once you have all the pictures on your computer and then whenever you take new pictures, just hook it up to the PC and dump them to the hard drive in another folder.

Keep it simple.

Have you ever connected the camera to your computer for downloading and then disconnected it without using the "safely remove hardware" function? If so, you could have corrupted the camera. Try going into the menu and find "reset" to get back to factory default settings. Also, have you ever tried using a separate card reader for downloads? It's easier and faster and it's entirely possible that your missing pics will show up. fa1b737.jpg

Hi there.
Yes you can put a few pictures on the SD card, you can transfer pictures back and forward while the camera is connected to the PC or you can transfer them via a card reader.

Dont know how to get pics out internal memory

Actually, you can do it without the cable.
You need to have the card inside your camera with at least ONE picture. Hit play. Press menu. Scroll down until you see COPY and then choose "Internal to SD Card" Hit All Frames. Hit OK. Done.

No pictures message showing on blue screen when card is full

Try this...Download the camera photo undelete program Asoftech Photo Recovery from
http://www.asoftech.com

You must not take anymore pictures on your card. You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader.Put the card in the card reader, open the the program, select the drive where you recover pictures from, then click on start. Wait, for it to do it's magic.

You need to use a card reader either one already in your computer (some have one, some don't). Or buy an external USB card reader. They are around 10.00 and can be found at walmart, bestbuy, frys, probably target.
The problem with built in card readers is that they will usually only read up to a 2G card.

I was not able to recover photos by hooking the camera up to the pc with the usb cord, it just won't work.

This is the important part. Choose the pics you want to recover, then choose recover, a box comes up asking where you want to save to. Choose documents/my pictures or wherever you want to save your pictures too. The pictures ONLY save to your pc and not the card.

Format your card in the camera after you have retrieved your photos and backed them up to an external source.
