Most cameras won't let you transfer pictures to them from another device, so you'll have to take the memory card out of your camera and put it into a card reader attached to your computer. Once inserted the card will appear to your computer as another hard drive. You can then use the operating system's copy&paste feature to copy pictures to the card, the same way you might copy any other file from one place to another on your computer.

How do I get my pictures from one laptop to another ?

There are several ways to do this. You can burn them on a DVD, but you are limited to 7 GB's for each disc. If you have a Blu-Ray burner then that is the more ideal to do it with discs. The better way to do it is to buy an external hard drive of about 1 TB and transfer them in that way. You can also use jump drives, but again you are limited to what speed it is and how much space you have on it. It is best to have a back up of all of your pictures anyway.

How do i get the pictures off my phone to get them on to my laptop?

Hello,
  1. If you use a memory card,
  2. then what you have to do is to transfer the pictures to the memory card
  3. then use a memory card reader to transfer the pictures to your laptop.

  1. You can also transfer pictures to your laptop using the bluetooth device of your laptop.
  2. Turn on the bluetooth on your laptop
  3. and if the laptop does not have a bluetooth device, then you connect a bluetooth dongle to is and it will be able to receive pictures from your phone using the bluetooth dongle.
  4. But that could take time if you are transferring plenty pictures.
  1. Also you can transfer pictures from your phone directly,
  2. Connect the phone to your laptop using a USB cable,
  3. Then select open file to view folder from your laptop,
  4. Browse out the location of the pictures from your phone on your laptop,
  5. Then copy them and paste in your choice pf location on your laptop.
Those are the ways to transfer pictures from your phone to your laptop.

Take care and good luck

I am trying to download pictures from my galaxy s fascinate phone and my computer is asking for a disc to be inserted to set it up. A disc did not come with the phone.

Most cell phones today have a few ways of getting pictures, music, videos to your PC/Laptop.

1. Via USB cable - This method usually requires drivers from a CD that came with your phone or can be downloaded from the manufacture's website in order for your PC to recognize your phone when you connect.

2. Via mini SD card - Most phones now have a mini SD slot where you can add more memory to the phone for pictures, music, videos, etc. Usually found attached on the side when you take the battery cover off. It will be a small black chip about the size of a finger nail and to remove it, you simply press it in, then it should release. If you have a memory card reader/slot on your PC/laptop, the mini SD card usually needs a separate adapter to make it fit into a standard SD slot.

3. Via Bluetooth - This requires your PC/Laptop to be able to connect with bluetooth devices. You must pair the PC with your phone first so they can communicate with each other. While using your phone, pick the file (picture, music, video, etc) from your phone, select Options, and send via bluetooth.

Doesnt play DVD and Cd

Hi,

I recently wanted to transfer holiday pictures from my laptop onto a blank disc, which I do by opening a window for 'My Pictures' and then opening 'My Computer' to get to the E drive (where my blank disc is). I click open a window for E drive (which shows it as empty) so now I have both windows open next to each other.

I then select the pictures I wish to transfer and then drag them over to the E drive window onto the blank disc. Then the computer transfers these pictures without a promlem and I am able to view the pictures now on the disc.

But recently it would not do this command. The 'cd writing wizard' would report to me that I needed to insert a blank disc which I had already placed in the tray. I tried different makes of discs, restarted my computer just in case it had a minor glitch, cleaned the laser head, tried different programs to see if anything had change without me knowing about it etc, etc, but to no avail. After much hair pulling, swearing and so on, I tried a program called 'Set program access and defaults' in 'all programs', clicked on 'add and remove program' and saw it was set on 'custom' as default (and will do so everytime I go into this program) then clicked on 'Microsoft Window'. I tried the above again and this time it transfered my pictures to the disc without a problem as it always use to.

I hope this might be of help.

You can then use Move Maker to any disc burning software like Nero to create the movie disks.
