I have a GE model 28213 DECT 6.0 home phone that I can't get to ring when someone calls. I can set the phone to ring 5, but when I call the phone it does not ring it just flashes.

As for the blinking light, you apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

I am making the leap of logic that you are talking about the GE 2-8213 wireless DECT phones. If so here is a link to order the battery.

assuming all the settings are correct, and sometimes there's a tiny switch on the handset for ringer, that has to be on, try the 'page' feature [the button on the base to make the handset ring to find it] - if that doesn't work, there's a very good chance the ringer itself is bad. i've seen that many times.

I put your model in the search and it came back with no results so perhaps it is not available in English. There is also a "contact us" tab at that site perhaps you can get help there.

Yay I just found someone give this as the reason why and how to fix it! Hope it helps, i'm going to try it and see what happens. Its better than unplugging it every time I want to use it!
