I have 2 NP-200 projectors installed in a school which show white dots on a black background and black dots on a white background. This is caused by the DMD chip losing pixels. Only solution is to replace the chip, I'm researching now if that i an economical solution.
The link to the article explains the the cause of the white syndrome none of the previous internet experts have a correct solution. I have the same problem the link to the article attached is for a Mitsubishi projector but all the chips are the same. http://www.fixyourdlp.com/2012/04/26/solve-the-mitsubishi-white-dot-problem-for-under-200/

Hi,
white dot is from a failure in the dlp chip. it controls 1000s of tiny mirrors which help make up your pix, when the mirrors get stuck a white dot appears. over time more will pop up. Probably in the $300-$500 range to have someone repair.
