Frigidaire microwave gallery series turntable is not turning

My over the range microwave turntable has stopped turning.Any idea how to fix this problem?

  • Anonymous Apr 27, 2009

Yep..I have the same problem. I took the six screws out that hold the bottom plate on.. and let it hang down. You can clearly see the little motor that runs the turntable.

Mine says in big red letters "21V AC" The other Names/numbers are:

    synchronous motor ST-16FE(EX73SAAA3)

=128 AIS ASLO STAMPED ON IT

    50,60hZ 2.5/3RPM 3/2.5 w
MADE IN Korea etc. About as big as a pocket watch.

I am looking for a new one now.

Frigidaire FFMV164LS 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-The-Range Microwave. Hello, Can you turn off the turntable on Frigidaire FFMV164LSA? The manual doesn't specify.

Question edited for clarity.

No you can't. The turntable needs to rotate the food or the microwave energy will burn holes in your food. The rotation spreads the heat evenly throughout the food. You can test it by removing the turntable and put a plate on the base with a pound of butter on it. Microwave on full power for a minute. Notice the holes?

How do I get the turntable turned back on when using sensor reheat.

I appreciate your post, friend!
I see you are having trouble with the turntable motor on your Frigidaire microwave. The best way to reset your microwave is to disconnect power from it for roughly ten minutes. You can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off. I hope that helps. -Matt

I have a frigidaire over the counter microwave and the turntable quit working

Good Afternoon Friend, I appreciate your post!

If the turntable of your Frigidaire microwave has stop working, often the possibilities include one of three culprits:

  • Power Supply
  • Turntable Turned Off
  • Turntable Support Damaged

I always recommend resetting your microwave first before reaching out to a professional. You can do so by unplugging your appliance or flipping the circuit breaker for about ten minutes and then turn on your microwave.

Best of luck!-Z

The turntable motor or belt are replaceable, but finding the parts for some models can be challenging...

Frigidaire microwave doesn't work

Don't have a fix for your problem, but my Frigidaire microhood just did the exact same thing--about the same age, started cooking some food and it worked for a few minutes and then just stopped--time kept going, light stayed on, but turn table stopped and fan noise cut out. I tried it a few more times and it seemed to fade in and out and then stopped trying.

We had sevseral boiling pots going underneath the over the range microwave without the exhaust fan on while also cooking in the microwave, we saw sparks in the microwave and it went dead. now nothing...

The main power fuse inside the MW may have been blown from the steam shorting out the circuitry. If so this fuse probably can be replaced. Lowes has replacement fuses.
