SOURCE: ge profile performance double oven. getting an F7

F7 is a stuck keypad/button.
Push all buttons at random several times each. This will sometimes un-stick a stuck button.
If that does not work the keypad control will have to be replaced.

What size breaker and wire for this oven

Hello Sbilko,

I understand that you are tring to find a breaker and wire size for your GE JKP28 Double Oven. As I look up the specs on your oven I find that both ovens are rated at 30 amps. This requires you to use two thirty amp breakers one for each oven. The industry standard for Oklahoma requires that you use at least #10/2 wire for a 30 amp breaker. However, in some places it states that you can use #12/2 although I would not recommend using #12 gauge wire.

My suggestion to you is two 30 amp breakers and #10/2 gauge wire, this should be what will take care of the circuits and keep the wire form heating up.

Thank you for choosing FixYa.com

The oven shuts off after 12 hours. How do I leave it on longer?

Hello, I found this info on the manual for your oven:

12-hour automatic cancel This safety feature prevents oven from continuing to operate if it has been left on for over 12 hours. If a cooking function continues longer than 12 hours without any options on oven control being touched, this feature turns oven off. Any time an option is touched, 12-hour automatic cancel is reset.

If you want to print up your own owner's manual, here is the Amana link. Just type in your model # and then click on the link to read it or print it up

My G.E. electric oven will beep and shut off after 15 min. or so. The read out says "F-2". What is going on?

This is what GE recommends:

“F— and a number You have a function or letter” flash error code in the display • Press the CLEAR/OFF pad. Allow the oven to cool for
one hour. Put the oven back into operation.
If the function code repeats. • Disconnect all power to the oven for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect power. If the function
error code repeats, call for service.

F0 error code on GE Profile PT956 double electric oven

you can also put a piece of paper between the ribbon cable where it joins up before the connector. It has been reported that the cable will short in this area. Try that before spending more money since most of the F-codes appear to be cable related.

GE JKP45 double wall oven shuts off

This sounds like a loose connection (solder joint) on the main control board. I had one that had a similar problem. checked the price of a control board $350. I took the control panel off, took the board apart and found a loose connection on one of the relays. resoldered the bad connection. oven works fine now.

I need to disable my ovens auto shut off

The control is automatically set to turn off the oven after 12 hours baking or 3 hours broiling should you forget and leave the oven on. If you want to remvoe this feature do the following steps: 1. Press and hold, at the same time, the BAKE and BROIL buttons for 3 seconds, until the display shows "SF". 2. Press the DELAY START TIME button. The display shows "12Shdn" for 12 hour shut off. Press the DELAY START TIME button again. The display will show "no Shdn" for no shut off. 3. Press the START button.
