Unable to install the electrolux slide in range into the 30"cutout called for in the install instructions. An "apron" below the front of the cooktop flares out to the sides preventing the drawers on either side from opening. The cabinets on either side of the range are frameless, full overlay with drawer above and door beneath. The granite countertop is already installed. Is there a modification kit for this problem or is it a flawed design? Thanks.

The range will be set out about 2 inches from the wall when properly installed. Don't change your plug-in, or cut holes in your wall. A quick search on the web will show you some options for "rear filler kits", if that is what you want. But the most attractive solution is to have a 30-inch piece of matching granite installed at the rear gap. A very narrow, nearly invisible grout-line will join the other sections of granite to the filler section. A custom continuous cut-out may result in a weak spot, subject to cracking or checking due to impact or hot-cold expansion-contraction. You bought the right range, you're getting the right counter-top....don't mess it up by sliding your range back to the wall....lol

We have the same Electolux range.....it is supposed to fit about 2 inched from back wall......your granite installer will have to fit a piece of granite behind the range. Yes, it is proper to have the plug installed. The plug is not part of the range package and will have to be purchased seperately if your installer does not use the plug from your old unit.
We are on our second slide in with wave touch controls.......we hope you have better luck that we've had. Ceramic cooktops do not seem to be level on all units. The bottom oven has locked up on both ovens and cause burned foods.....Electrolux has problems that aren't acknowledging as yet..........good luck

try a lemon heated and the acid will eat away the food

Ranges have a built in safety factor when the cooktops were designed so that the perimeter of the stove stays warm at best when using. The granite is very thermally stable and will not have an issue here. But the oven area needs a little air space from your cabinet/wood surface.
Thank you for your post, Wendy Berg!
I understand that you are searching for a filler piece to go between your Electrolux range and countertop. I was unable to locate any type of filler piece I see the manufacture has a side trim kit, rear filler panel, and backguard kit but nothing specific to your request. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt
Thank you for your inquiry, friend!
I understand that you are looking for the meaning of "E15" on your Electrolux range. "E15" stands for ESEC self-test failed, which could either mean and issue within your UIB (User Interface Board) or relay board. I would recommend having a professional come out to diagnose and repair your appliance. Best of luck. -Matt
Thank you for your post, friend!
