Navman SmartST software not compatible with Windows Vista

I very foolishly upgraded from Windows XP to Vista. Among the many other problems I find the software for my Navman PiN570 is not compatible with Vista, so I cannot update maps or download safety camera files. Is there a fix?

I'm having issues as well. I was able to install the software on my vista pc, but when it tries to sync with the navman it says that the resolution is not supported.

recently bought a used Navman but software cannot load on my pc because it is not compatible with Vista. So unfortunately I cannot use it. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Run the Navman software in XP emulation mode. Do a word search in Google for "XP emulation mode in Vista" to get instructions on using emulation mode.

Navman ezy not connecting to desktop

I had the same problem here in New Zealand. Navman would be recognized using USB.

I tried it with Windows Vista and Windows XP. In the end, I connected to windows 7, it was immediately recognized. I had the option to apply a few upgrades which I did.

After the upgrade, it now also works for windows vista and windows XP

Navman n40i smart st compatability problem with vista.

Hi,

Are you not able to run the activesync program despite the Vista warning? Did you try running it in compatibility mode? What happnes when you try to connect with sync center (what happens...any error messages)? Regarding the mobile device centre...did you check that McAffe and windows firewall is not blocking it from internet access?

This product can be used with Windows Vista.

To use it with Windows Vista, you must install the driver software for Windows Vista.
The Windows XP drivers for your product cannot be used under Windows Vista.
Easy-WebPrint and PhotoRecord do not support Windows Vista.

Upgrading from Windows XP to Windows Vista :
Before upgrading your OS from Windows XP to Windows Vista, delete / uninstall all the Windows XP driver software first; then, upgrade the OS to Windows Vista and install Vista driver software.
If you have already upgraded your computer's OS to Windows Vista :
Delete / uninstall the Windows XP drivers before installing Vista drivers.

Navman N40i compatability with Vista

Solution to get GPS Navman N40I working with Windows Vista.

I solver the problem (most of it) by uninstalling the old activsynk witch was delivered with the manufactory CD. Then I downloaded from “http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-center.mspx” Windows Mobile Device Center. After installing this software I connected my Navman N40I to my PC and waited to for the Mobile Device Center application to load. When it tried to gain partnership with my GPS I removed it. Voila, and the SmartST Desktop 2006 SE application was able to communicate with my GPS.
