I had this problem and ordered a new replacement XL2200 lamp from Sony and that fixed it. By the way, the lamp installs from the front so there's no need to pull your TV out from the wall. Look at you manual, it is accurate in this respect. My lamp only lasted about 15 months. It costs $200 plus about $16 to ship. ou can order direct from Sony on line service.

SOURCE: i have a sony Bravia with a logo from a company appearing on the screen everytime i turn it on. is there a way to get this logo off/

You have to get into its service menu options to do this. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Check this link and select the site named above. View it in 'Flip card' option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. It will make search easy. Some times, the ads attached with each posts, both at the right and bottom, might help you to find the availability of spare parts. There are more than 800 posts to different brand TVs now.

Hi, Sony KDL-55NX810 3D LCD TV , No sound , No picture. Sony logo at bottom and power indicator are on. When mother board for LCD is disconnected,LCD panel is blue. Power supply board is working fine.

Have you made sure the appropriate signal source is properly connected? Could it be you have selected an invalid input source? Use your remote to cycle through the Input options. Wait 5 - 10 seconds on each option to see if a picture appears.

VT420M no sound or picture and turns off by itself

this sounds like a main board failure but a defective power supply can mimic some symptoms of a bad main board. I would recommend you get a diagnosis done on the set. If I was a betting man, I'd guess the main board

I have a p41 and on the screen appear "turn the power off and on again" so i turn it off and back on again but the sign is still there. i turn it off and on again and again but it is still there....

Hi,

Error: TURN THE POWER OFF AND ON AGAIN is displayed on the LCD screen when the Lens Mechanism is stuck or when affected by any malfunction. If turning the power on and off again does not resolve the error message, try doing a power reset and Initialize option.
Performing a manual power reset
Turn off the camera.
Remove the battery pack.
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.
Reinsert the battery pack.
Turn on the camera.
To reset the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE Option from the Setup 1 Menu of the Camera to OK. This will set the user defined settings back to factory default. The images and videos will not get deleted.
If the issue persists, service may be required.
Thanks for contacting FixYa.

When I turn my PowerShot A85 on the Canon Logo appears on the screen for a second then the screen goes blank. I can still take a picture, but can't use the display. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Does your camera have a button or switch on it that says something like this: "LCD Backlight" and "On/Off" for the toggle switch that goes with that LCD Backlight?
If I turn off the LCD Backlight on my digital camera, I cannot see anything, but I can take pictures anyway. When I turn that Backlight back on, I see everything I point the camera at, and can take pictures without problems.
The Backlight helps you to see what it is at which your are pointing your camera.
Makes a big difference. And you can accidentally hit that switch and turn it off without being aware you have done so.

Picture & sound go on & off every sec, red light blinks 5 times

helloFive blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.

TV Picture Goes Black

I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
