Web preview doesn't match design view

When creating a website in Publisher 2007, the text alignment/spacing in the design window is not the same as that of the preview and published pages...making it difficult to manage text placement. 1) Why is this happening, and 2) How can I fix this? Any help is appreciated!

Need some help with ms publisher 2007 Basically I am able to send files to the remote server, and link with Microsoft Publisher, but am not able to publish to the web i created a website in...

A few things you need. Publisher will FTP to your web site ? ?
Who's hosting your site... not your name. If Register.com is your hosting company, you need to check out the settings needed to put into Publisher to FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to your site and the correct name of the main web folder like public_html . You need the login name and password to your web page.

Can't get site to publish

Hello kindly try this steps and links in publishing your site on net.

  1. Understand the basics. To publish a web site, you should know what a web site must have to be published. A website has a unique web address like www.google.com or www.yahoo.com. This is called a domain name. Each domain name is registered with a DNS (Domain Name Server), which identifies a domain name with a unique ID i.e. IP address (A bunch of 4 groups of 3 digits each). Then, a web site must have a webspace allocated to it. This is provided by a Web Server maintained by many companies.
  2. Look on the web if the name you want to register for website is still available i.e not registered by anyone. You can search for this on many websites like http://www.networksolutions.com etc. If the name is available, then go for it, or think over a new name.
  3. Note the following. If the name is available, then you should go to an Internet Service Provider and get the name of your website registered. You'll get a unique IP address and domain name from the same Internet Service Provider or another buy a web space for your web site. A normal and usual website can be designed with 5 MB of Web space. Depending on your requirement buy web space. There may be generally two options one on a web server using Windows hosting or Linux hosting. Linux hosting is generally cheaper. Also consider the design of your web site and tools you are using to develop your web pages. These should be available on the hosting web server.
  4. Get your web pages designed and working on your own or by a professional web site designer.
  5. Upload the contents of the web pages (files, Folders etc.) as it is to the web server with FTP address, login and password provided by hosting service provider.
  6. Give yourself a pat on the back! Now your website is ready and running over the Internet. You can see it using http://www.yourdomainname.com
If you need more assistance just reply to this post.

Thanks

Hello electricrose,

I would like to recommend www.goear.com, they are the music youtube and you can upload your music to their website, then get the code and put their player direcly on your website...

Advantages:

1 - You won't waste your hosting bandwith
2 - It will be easier for you, since you don't have to work with any html code
2 - Other people will be able to hear your music from goear.com, that's a marketing strategy ;-)

The pages in my booklet don't line up correctly---ahh help!!

Check the X coodinates in the upper left corner and make sure the art is placed or drawn to the guides or edges. A little more infomation would be extremely helpful.
Another thing to do is turn on the Overprint Preview. This is in the View menu. When you turn this on, you see how exactly things are placed/lining up instead of a low rez screen preview.
Are you converting a Publisher file to InDesign? If so, you will HAVE to fix this. Not an exact science. Even with the Utility, they are 2 totally different apps. InDesign will do it's best to maintain the look of the Publisher file, but Publisher was not created for high-end output, it has gotten better over the years... but it is still THE most problematic software for Printing.
