It needs cleaning out regularly - at least once a year! We have one fitted to a shower that is used daily. The small amount of hair - that falls out every time hair is washed under the shower - builds up and clogs up the pump. We are on our second pump, the first installed just over 10 years ago, this one is under 3 years old and it already looks like it will have to be replaced.
The buzzing is due to the fact that the motor is unable to rotate so I would call a sani engineer to come and inspect it. You have a 2yr warranty so should the unit be defective you will get a new one.
Sort of... Refer to the saniflo website, they have a Service Engineer page with phone numbers that are area specific. http://www.saniflo.co.uk/Engineers.aspx
Install fine mesh clean out screen in your screen shower stall drain. If you do not, hair will build up and get caught in the macerator cutter blades and/or the pump impeller/diaphragm. This will stop or restrict pump operation and eventually and burn up your pump motor. These should be available through Lowe's or Home Depot, or you purchase plastic or stainless fine mesh screen and make your own.
The buzzing is because the capacitor for the motor needs to be replaced. It's relatively straight forward to do if you are a practical person. The capacitor is in the plastic housing with the rubber boot at the bottom for the level switch. Access to it is via removing the rubber boot.

I'm researching to figure out what the problem is, my unit has been in use for a couple of years but only occasionally as it was in a guest bathroom. I'm now using the shower connected to the sanishower at least 3 times a week and its refusing to drain the water.. Then it makes the stupid buzzing noise. I'll post back if I find more info!
