If the computer is still running and loading the programs it could be an early sign of bad ram or motherboard issues, I suggest having it checked by a professional.

Pressing the CAPS LOCK or NUM LOCK there is a beep.

launch the Toggle Keys dialog box by holding down the Num Lock button for five seconds, and clicking Yes. Thereafter, a loud beep will sound through your computer's speakers whenever Caps Lock is turned on or off. (To turn Toggle Keys off, once again hold down your Num Lock button for five seconds.)

Unable to power on computer

When you here this signal sound beeping this is an RAM memory error. Try to open your CPU casing and remove the RAM, clean the RAM with rubber eraser.

After that insert the RAM and try to turn on the unit. Once you can hear again the loud sound beeping the RAM are bad or faulty already. So you need to replace the RAM.

Loud Beep on media control panels volume buttons.

I had the same problem. They sure make it tough for you, don't they? Urgh... it was annoying. Anyway, this is what fixed it for me, a solution from another site:

In the control panel, under sounds. Go to the speaker properties, and then the levels tab and mute the computer beep level.

Screen won't appear upon start up and I get 3 beeps but no screen

3 beeps POST code (power on self test) means RAM problem.
Reseat the RAM module/s and boot up your computer.
If you have two RAM modules, remove them both and insert one at a time to test them, to determine which module is faulty.
If it still doesn't work then replace the RAM module/s

Computer turns on, but won't work afterwords

Hi,

Nev, the two loud beeping sound of the system when turning it on could be a problem with the memory or the system board.

Try disconnecting the power and take out the battery, then press and hold the power button for 5 seconds then look for the memory comparment and reseat it.

Keep me posted.

Thanks.

The lap top screen will not come on. When I try to turn it on the computer gives a loud beep.

This beep is an indication that your computer has a hardware failure. Try to remember if the beep sounds like a specific pattern , and then refer to the manufacturer's website to diagnose that pattern.
