Can't download the firmware update successfully

The camera gives us a memory card error. I have firmware 1.0 and according to the website, it says to update the firmware to 1.03. I download it, however it states that it has not downloaded successfully. No matter how many times I try. Could this be because I am using Windows 7? How do I fix this issue?

SOURCE: Firmware Update

save the firmware file on your sd card, then you have to find the menu in your camera, to load it in camera memory, make sure your battery is fully charged or it will not work.

SOURCE: Memory card Sandisk 4GB gives error memory card

The S50 uses SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card, and will not work in the S50. You will have to confine your choices to cards 2GB and smaller.

Today I found a firmware update v102 for the EX-S200 Silver model. I want to update this firmware as the color of the picture taken is extremely bad compared to a 3 year old Nikon 10 megapixel. My less...

I doubt this will take care of the problem. The root directory of the drive is the removeable sd card from the camera and it is above the level of the BIN folder. You then plug the sd card back in the camera and hold down the set button. The whole process is outlined http://support.casio.com/download.php?rgn=1&cid=001&pid=987

My camers says system error.and some sound there when i turnon the camera

Go to your camera brand website and look for a firmware to download for your camera model.
Choose the latest
Usually you will have to download it, then uncompress it and put it on your memory card.
An serie of manipulation on your camera will be described to update the new firmware.

If this didn't change the problem you have, contact your retailer or the camera brand directly.

I cannot get my new laptop to recognize my canon eos rebel camera. Software is installed, drivers are there but the computer doesn't see the camera when it is connected and turned on.

Best fix for this is to purchase a Card Reader and step around downloading from the camera. A card Reader is looked at by the computer as an external storage device. You place the memory card into the card reader and down load from there. Don't forget to stop or safely disconnect or eject before removing your memory card. Once you have placed the memory card back into the camera Format the memory card to give the camera a fresh clean surface to work with again.

What is happening is that the firmware of the camera is no longer compatible with the "new" software from the computer.

Even though you may not have updated the software in the computer if it's hooked to the Internet then sometimes there is auto updated and these are what sometimes causes the problem with incompatibility.

Also if you haven't updated the camera Firmware now would be a good time to look see what Canon has to offer as free updates in Firmware for your camera it's a free update.

I have error code #99 on a canon eos 30d

Error 99 is Canon's default for several "connection" problems most common are dirty contacts between the lens and camera body. Another is the contacts in the battery compartment both the camera and the battery contacts should be cleaned.

The camera might not be able to read the memory card, download the pictures to your computer and format the memory card don't delete them format the card this function is found in the set up menu.

Formatting is one of the most important functions to keep the camera and memory card communicating AND is the most neglected function. Always format a new memory card and always format a memory card after downloading pictures to a computer. Format a memory card if it's been in another camera.

Cleaning the lens and body contacts can be done fairly easily with a clean pencil eraser, don't use a puffer on the body as you will blow dirt into the camera. With the lens removed hold the camera as much as possible with the lens opening pointed down and gently polish the gold contacts. Do the same with the lens contacts make sure both areas are clean and re install the lens to the body.

Possibly the most important "fix" is to update your camera's firmware. Go to Canon's web site (it can be a bit intimidating at first) and search through until you find the firmware updates for your camera. Download this generally they want you to download to a memory card then place the card into the camera and upload the new firmware updates.

The Canon 30D (in my opinion) is one of the best no frills, greatest working DSLR cameras Canon produced. Not saying the model's beyond are not it's just the 30D isn't loaded down with video functions. Great all around working camera, sorry my rant for the day.

Cheers have fun with your Canon 30D

Memory card error

Hi,

This seems to be a known issue with the Canon camera's to display Memory card error.

Give this a try
1. Remove the card from camera and wait for sometime ( 1-2 minute ) and re-inserting the card.
2. If this does not work, you need a card reader to read/view images on your PC ( since you are not able to access the card in your camera )
3. If you are not able to access/view the images from Card, click on the link below to recover the images from card - Recover images
When you open the webpage, click on the Download Now option to download the software ( it is free )
4. Try this fix to resolve the issue, Sometimes it takes long time for the camera to load the images and it results in memory card error - Click on the link to download the fix - Firmware Update
5. Try using a SD card with less memory like 1 GB card or max 2 GB for better access of card in camera.

Hope this is helpful.

Error message on a brand new fuji camera memory caard

It's possible that your camera can't take the memory card. If it is one of the newer 2-4GB cards, some of the older camera's firmware limits their memory card size. You may check the Fuji website and see if you can download upgrade software for your camera. This will up the limit of the capacity you can use. You hook up your camera to your computer and use the Fuji software to upload the firmware update. Good luck.
