Do you have a lint filter slot inside of your dryer or on the top? Our rack in ours mounts into the lint filter slot and the drum turns around it and does not turn the rack. If you have a lift filter that is on top of the unit the rack may mount into the back panel allowing the drum to turn around it.

My frigidaire affinity front load gas dryer has a banging noise when it runs

you;ll have to examine it closely with a good flashlight to see if u can detect any gaps in drum to front cover (front and back), seam should be even all the way around if not it's gonna be out of balance and hit at points in its rotation , ive seen every thing from baby socks to necklaces get in there and mess it up

How to use the dryer rack in dryer ??? how to set up so doesnt spin.

The dryer rack should hook to the bottom of the door opening(using the lip of the door). If the rack is properly placed the drum should be able to turn without touching the dryer rack. Some dryers have the option of turning off the drum. If your dryer does not have this button or a dryer rack position on the timer dial then you cannot turn off the drum.

Fridgidaire Gas Dryer - Mod.#FDG 546 RBS 0 Press start button just a humming noise, drum doesn't turn. Tried rotating the drum manually and it turns only with great effort so I don't think is't a belt. 12+...

Your glides are brobably broken and missing. This will make the drum hard to turn and bind the motor. Get the front off the dryer:

Get the screws out that hold the front on and take a look:

Frigidaire Gas Dryer

you need to replace the door glides the felt between the drum and door unplug the drier pull it out from the wall about a foot facing the drier take a small putty knife and insert it about 3" from the edge push the knife in till you feel the spring clip push in on it and lift the top then repeat that on the other side fold the top back till it leans against the wall look in the drier on the front edge of the front door panel there are two 5\16 in screws there remove them and un plug the light switch and the door switch assembly .grasp the front door panel and snap it off then redo the felt kit

Noisy dryer

tis possible that cons have gotten stuck within the veins( tub paddles) of the dryer drum, if thats the case youlll be able to rotate the drum around by hand and actually hear them tumble around as you turn them around.if thats the case tou will need to unscrew the tub baffles from the outside of the drum remove debris and resecure.DISCONNECT POWER SUPPLY
first remove 2 5/16 screws holding the lower access panel. and behind that panel 2 more 5/16 screws. lift that panel foward and it will release from under the main lid(2 clips holdin it in). mark the 3 wiresd and disconnect the door switch.2 final 5/16 screws in either corner is holding the main lid assy down, remove them and your able to flip the main top back. you now have access to the outside of the drum all you need to do is rotate around find the screws holding baffles and clean them out
