Oil leak on power steering 2002 grand caravan

check where the oil is coming from first. check around the oil filter for leaks. if from the front of the motor check power steering and hoses for leaks . Around the radiator check for hoses to the transmission cooler . Check for leaks around loose sump plug. check for oil leaks from rocker cover gaskets running down the block at the back

POWER STEERING OIL TO BE CHECKED FILLING THE OIL SHOULD REMOVE THE FAULT UNLESS THERE IS A LEAK IN THE STEERING SEAL FOR POWER STEERING

The horrible smell is antifreeze leaking from the heater core. This is the more serious of two leaks. You might be able to fix it with some stop leak. You can also tighten the power steering hoses.

could be cant be a 100 percent sure so i cant say yes its going bad for the leak issue have to see where its leaking from to no for sure

there are two lines coming from power steering pump the one that has compressed fittings is the high pressure line.Thats the one that usually leaks.

transmission leak. take to transmission shop for estimate--this is not a do it yourself repair.

that would be any major brand of 10W40, don't use any heavier oil it will damage the engine bearings

In response to your question, fluid can be low and more may need to be added. Any repair would be on the way it got low, fix the leak.

If it is low, steering at slower speeds will be difficult. An upper body workout. .
