When you have noise in the pump it is usually a rumbel or rattel. If you have a squealing it is probally in your motor and is more than likly a bad bearing. If you have any water leaking at your seal this is probally the problem and it will just get worse. Sorry to say you are very close to a new motor.

SOURCE: Pentair WhisperFlo Wiring Help
If you just bought this then there will be a diagram on the motor nameplate and/or under the terminal cover where you connect the wires. Generally speaking, there are two wires inside the motor that change positions depending on 115 or 230 v connection. If one of the wires is on a post common to one of the line leads, that usually means you have the motor set for 115V. Is that the voltage you are supplying to the motor? If there is no diagram you can make out on the motor, post what brand motor and the motor model number for a diagram.

SOURCE: What are the specifications for
Take the cover off of the capacitor...it is the bump on the top of the motor...then look on the capacitor and find the numbers that end with mfd. that is the size or rating of the capacitor...also then look for the voltage of the capacitior...you need to match that also...there are so many different motors used, even for the same pump that it is hard to say for sure what you may need there with out looking at it.
You can do that and then you know you are getting the correct cap for your motor...
My guess is that you are looking for something in the range of a 20mfd 370volt cap. but please check it out for sure they vary alot!!

More than likly it's a square flange motor. If the noise is just starting when you take the pump apart you can check the impeller for problems but the most likley is a bearing going bad from a seal leak. If you remove the wires and take the motor with the back half of the pump to a pool store they can diagnose it for you and do the nessary repairs at the shop. Usually they will do this for a small bench fee or for just the price of the nessary parts.

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.
It could be the pump is bound up but it is more likely the motor is failing. It may be a small part such as the capacitor or the starting switch, but could also be more severe such as the winding itself. You will also want to examine the shaft where it passes thru the pump and motor and look for signs of rust from a pump seal leak.
If you are not familiar with testing these parts your best bet would be a local electric motor repair shop to see if the motor can be repaired or if it would need to be replaced. They should also be able to ensure there is no pump damage.
