I assume you mean it stopped in mid cycle and is now dead. If this is the case you will need to turn off the power to the dishwasher and remove the screws holding the front control panel There is a thermal fuse clipped to the front of the control panel Check it using an ohmmeter or continuity tester If it is open you will need to replace it with a kit containing the fuse and wire connectors Do not replace just the thermal fuse the problem will surely return. Also inspect the control board for burned areas.If the control board is burned you should replace the wiring harness with the control assembly
The float switch may be hung up and this can cause the dishwasher to be stuck in a cycle. see the diagram
Timer / Control
If your dishwasher gets stuck in a cycle first try shutting off the
breaker for at least 5 minutes if this does not correct the problem you
will need to replace timer/electronic control.
This is the most common locations for thermal fuses and heating element on Whirlpool,Kenmore,Estate dryers. Check these fuses for continuity and replace the one that does not have continuity
