How to turn on webcam

The WEBcam driver may not be installed.

Fix for HP Pavilion DV6000 with built in camera. I got a solution. Works with XP and VISTA OS.

Download HP's Pavilion Webcam Driver: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34501-35000/sp34746.exe and restart your computer again.

If not able to download the driver then try the below link.

Control panel. Webcam. You need to switch on the prog!

Go to control panel, find device manager, then expand the list until you get to webcam. Check the box that says enable.

use HP quick play to view web camera make sure you have the latest updates fr quick play to found at hp.com

Hi,

This is known Webcam issue in DV6000 notebooks. To resolve or narrow down the issue, we have to check few things.

First open Device Manager.

Please follow these steps to open Device Manager:

1. Right Click on 'My Computer' icon on Desktop and choose Properties.
2. The System properties Window opens.
3. Click Hardware tab and then click the Device Manager button.

Expand + Imagining Devices and check if the HP Webcam is listed under it.

If Webcam is not listed there, then you have to contact HP to get the BIOS update.

If it is listed there, right click on it and select Disable. Again right click on it and select Enable.

Now open any applications like Quickplay and check if Webcam is working or not.

can u send me the model of your hp and the OS u are used.

There should be an icon on your desktop for the webcam, if not try checking in your device manager to see if it is enabled..go to control panel>system>hardware>device manager It should be under the imaging devices.
