It could be an over filling issue, or there may be a tear in the seal where you can't see it very well Take a look at my articles:

Which discusses pressure switches, or

if you discover you do need to replace the door seal

There is water leaking from the bottom of the door of our Hotpoint Aquarius WMA 56 washing machine. What could be the cause.

Have you been wiping the glass off in the door. A buildup of detergent crust on the bottom will cause the seal to weep.

Washing machine wont lock

Sounds like you door switch is faulty. You can access this buy either taking the lid off and reaching down the side and removing and changing it or you can remove the wire clip around the door seal and folding it back out of the way and the switch is just there, 2 screws removes it. Should only be about 20 pounds for a new one. Hope this helps

I have a Hotpoint Super Plus dishwasher 7820. It worked well for a long time. Towards the end of the cycle it leaks a lot of water from the underside of the door, so it seems. I have fitted a new door...

The door seal has to be in a proper position completely around the door (including the bottom area of the door). If not, it will leak. Also, there are two black corner baffles/seals (located in each front corner inside the tub area) that may also be the culprit. Additionally, there may be an issue with the float switch assembly that shuts off the water supply prior to the wash cycle. If the float switch assembly is allowing an extra amount of water in the tub, it will cause a leak.

I have a hotpoint wma22. problem with it does not spin. The belt is ok .

+I would remove the motor and check the brushes for wear.
If they are less than 3 or 4mm long, thet need replacing.
If brushes o/k, then it is probably a control module fault.
I am of course assuming that the washer has drained the water out, or it will not spin.

Sounds like a blocked filter to me.
Remove lower rear panel of washer, remove large black hose fastened to bottom of drum, remove and clean filter inside hose, check pump for blockage at same time. You probably will not need to replace any parts

Thanks.

Cleaning

I am not familiar with this machine's model, but in most of the machines the filter is located under the panel in the bottom of the machine (the panel under the front door). You should pull the panel out and you will find the filter there. Before openning the filter prepare a bowl and a floor cloth to avoid water's flooding. Good luck!
