Kodak EasyShare V570 Digital Camera Logo

Displays all white in all modes. Kodak V570. Turn the power on and all I can see is white. I have tried a different battery an no battery, just power cord. I know the camera good enough I can go into the menu options and select some different features without actually seeing the menu. All that seems to work fine and the lens is working ok. I can push the shutter button, the flash goes off. I can't see the photo on the camera, but I can see the photo if I put the SD card into my computer. Please help. What are my options. Its a $350-500 camera new, but out of warranty. I really love this camera. Its with me all the time. Thanks

PLEASE HELP MORE!!! I found Replacement LCD Screens for about $50. Is that all I need to fix the problem? Or do I need that AND a new color chip? I think I can do the LCD replacement on my own. However I don't know that I'd be able to buy and replace the color chip on my own.

I looked on ebay and I saw another V570 camera for sale with the same problem described as mine. Might be a common problem FYI. Just hoping to repair this camera before April 1st as I will be going to Venezuela for 2 weeks. Sendin it out for repair will likely take too long.

    Thanks much.

I have the same problem -- all white screen. I called Kodak and was informed that this camera has been discontinued and there are no replacement parts available. ARRGH! Does anyone have another solution?

Hello I have a kodak v570 and a cracked lcd. I have a new lcd, but don't know how to install it with the strap..... attached to the lcd...

You need an LCD, dedicated for V570. V610 and V705 are different. There is an Interlock up side the Connector you can rise up with a Needle. Than pull out the Cable and insert the new one.

Camera wont soom

Please also try to upload new firmware: I doubt that it will solve the issue, but the alternative is a repair and your camera model is no longer repaired by KODAK due to shortage of spare parts.

Instructions to upgrading the firmware for: V570
Connect the camera with the computer.
Turn the camera on.
Click onto the link and follow the instructions.

When i zoom in it turns black

Here are the steps: 1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. 3. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a new cable. This camera is no longer repaired due t oshortage of spare parts. I have a problem with my Kodak - e45,please help...

It is basically a shutter/ lens error, and all I've heard is that it's expensive. Kodak says that it means the camera "requires repair." Most people seem to throw them out rather than repair them with this problem, but definitely call Kodak and at least get a price estimate.
From the kodak website
"This error message displays when your camera requires service or repair.

Use the Interactive Troubleshooting Guide in the U.S. and other countries where it is available, to initiate/complete your repair request online.
