You may run into troubles when playing such non-supported files with Windows Media Player. That's why you need a codec pack for Windows Media Player.
Where to Download Windows Media Player Codec Pack?
1. CCCP
2. Media Player Codec Pack.
3. XP Codec Pack.
4. K-Lite Codec Pack.

Power turns off after about 10 secs of watching the video

First guess is the camera has dirty heads. Suggestion is to run a head cleaner in your video camera. Regardless of the instructions on the head cleaner, I usually run the head-cleaner tape on "Play" for about 10 to 15 seconds, and then on "Record" another 10 to 15 seconds. Wait for 10 minutes before loading your playback tape. Try playing your tape again.

Also, check to be sure the tape is loaded properly and that the hatch closes securely and properly. A hastily loaded tape or an ill-fitting closure could cause the play function to stop.

If this does not solve the issue, it may be something in the play switch or in the playback mechanism that requires repair services. If the problem continues, I would recommend calling the Panasonic Company and speak with Tech support or Video Camera Repair. They may be able to tell you and estimate of what it would cost for the repair.

I have a yamaha dvd-c750. I have just created a slideshow using iphoto on a Mac, burnt to a TDK DVD +R. Inserted into the DVD drive. Machine tries to load it. Gives a message "unknown disc"? ...

DVD players can be picky with the type of file format that they use. According to an amazon.com review of this player, it does read DVD+RW/+Rs & DVD-RW/Rs so the problem probably resides in your file format.

The problem is probably the fact that the DVD Player does not recognize the file format of your Mac slide show. The computer recognizes this format, as it plays the slide show. The DVD player recognizes JPG file formats, which is the standard format of a picture.

If a DVD is made with JPG Files, not your slide show files, it will display thumbnails of each picture, allowing the choice of what picture to view.

If the slide show is a must, try to save it to a video file format, such as a *.mpg or *.avi which are common video file formats. These files would be movies of the slide show that you have made.

Having problems with playing video's on my computer via websites (news page etc) will work for @ 10 seconds then pause for @ 30 seconds then work for 10 seconds and continue to repeat this process I have...

Videos on websites need time to load before they will play seamlessly. When you first load the video, pause it and wait for a few minutes. You may see a bar loading across the part of the window that shows how much has loaded. This will take a few seconds or a few minutes depending on how fast your internet connection is.

Why does my dell inspiron have trouble loading videos?

Are you having trouble viewing online or streaming videos? If yes, then update your flash player version from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ .
If you have trouble playing videos stored on your computer, update your video drivers and ensure you have proper codecs for playing the video files. You can install the K-lite codec pack, available for free download from http://files.freesoft.ru/mm-mm/K-Lite_Codec_Pack_583_Basic.exe .

Good Luck!

its most likely that the video you placed on your ipod has different format/type. you need to convert first your video to the appropriate format.

Video Playback on a Everio GZ-MG57U

Sounds like you just need to upgrade your codecs. I use media player classic or VLC media player so I've never had these "not" play. Also another thing you will run into is the widescreen not showing properly when it does work. You have to convert the video to proper divx format with Xillisoft video converter in order for it to appear in 16:9 in all players. Makes the files 1/10 of the size too with little quality loss. Make sure you get the newest divx and xvid codecs, or a media player codec pack (easily found in google).
