Once in a while, our television will not turn on, and below the green light, a red flashing light will appear. This light flashes continuously. To fix this, we turn off the tv and turn it back on, and the tv will work like normal. Is there a part we can replace? Any details will be greatly appreciated.

thermal fuse. it sits below the lamp and has popped. replace with new fuse or just short (eliminating fire protection) let me know if you need instructions.

Symptom shows that TV needs Lamp replacement.
Sony TV Lamp is available in Part Store and lamp replacement procedure is written in user manual of TV.

TV has 2 thumb screws on lower corners, loose these screws and take off lower front part, there is lamp cover under that removed lower long part at TV front, remove lamp cover, lamp is in front of you, lose its screws and pull it out.
Slide new lamp and put things in reverse order, job is done.
