Umm... Vague, but I'll work with it. Connect it to a PC. under "My Computer", find your device, and right click it. You should see "Format Device", or "format".This will remove any and all media from the device, as well as clear your settings.
in your case, there might a system file on your mp3 player that was corrupted, you really have to backup your file, copy all your files from your player to the pc and format your player.

My Musix MP3 when turned on says flash error please backup the data and format the player. When I put it in the computer no message to tell me how to do this comes up. I don't have the manual anymore. Please advise.

Plug her in, copy your music onto your computer, then format it by right clicking the drive in My Computer, then going to Format, then clicking Start.
