Hello snapshots,
I have an x61, and you may want to check that all of the keys on your keyboard are not damaged, and that none of them are stuck in the pressed position. That is what the "stuck key" message typically means. If you check out the keyboard, and all the keys are fine, and if you are still receiving this message, try calling Lenovo support. There is an off chance that your keyboard (or other components) may be slightly defective.
Here is the link to the Lenovo site: http://lenovo.com/planetwide/select/selector.html
Hope this helps!

Unable to move cursor on lenovo x61

Are you trying to move the cursor with the trackpoint, a usb mouse, or the pen? Have you tried restarting your computer? Restarting would likely solve the problem. If you can't move the cursor to the start menu, you can open the start menu with the windows key, use the arrow keys to navigate to the power options. Use enter to select the power options and shut down or restart the computer. If this does not work, press and hold the power button for 5 or 10 seconds to force the computer to shut down.

What happened before this occurred? Did you install any programs or updates recently, or change any settings on your computer?

My lenovo x61 is locked, it doesn't boot. when it on it shoes me a lock & ask the password, I don't know the password, please help me what am i want to do.

There is a list of common backdoor passwords for BIOS locks here. If these do not work you may need to seek help at your local computer repair facility, as cracking these passwords is either extremely difficult, or involves dissasembling the machine.

How do i use recovery cd's if i have no cd rom drive? i have an external cd/dvd drive plugged into usb port but the fujitsu 1510d lifebook does not recognise it? thanks dave

When you boot your computer, start up your BIOS, then under the boot menu, make sure USB is listed as the 1st option.

To log into your BIOS, press the "Boot Option" key. It might be F1, F2 or Delete

Windows xp wont boot get black screen with white flashing dash in upper left corner

Ensure that there are no periferals plugged in, USB, Lan etc and take any disk out of the CD ROB drawer then try to boot again.
If it still doesn't work, you may have a hardware conflict and will need to press the F2 or whichever key for the BIOS menu and check that it is set up with Hard drive as first boot device, then try again.
Hope this helps

Lenovo X61 Tablet pen not functioning

Same here this sounds weird but you have to hit the screen with the pen.. in the long run it probably hurts the pc, but it fixes the problem.

I have a labtop x61 tablet which failed to boot the operating system windows vista

The best way to fix this is to insert the Windows Vista DVD that originally came with the computer. After you have the disc in, restart the computer and you should be prompted to "Press Any Key To Boot From Disc" or something along those lines...

Once you do that you will be given the option to repair Windows Vista. It will automatically scan the computer and fix any issues.

If you have a specific error message or have any trouble doing this, please let me know and I will be more then happy to further assist you!

Screen rotate

Hello snapshots,
Here is what you do:
1) Click on a blank area of the desktop (not sure why, but sometimes this is necessary). 2) Press the toolbox button on your monitor. It is located in between the rotate screen button and the secondary "Esc" button. A tablet shortcut menu should appear in the middle of your screen. 3) Select "Settings" at the bottom left of the menu. This will open a "Customize Tablet Shortcut Menu Settings" Window. 4) In the "Auto Screen Rotation" portion of the window, make sure the "Enable ActiveRotate" box is checked.  5) If you choose, you may also want to click the "Calibrate" button. This will step you through customizing the ActiveRotate to your personal preference. 6) Click "Apply" and then "Ok".
Please note, that with the internal wi-fi connection enabled, you cannot use the X61 in tablet mode in certain orientations. Nothing bad will happen if you attempt to do this; but you will notice a message popup telling you this, as well as having the screen automatically switch orientations on you. This is normal and has something to do with the wi-fi antenna location.
Hope that helps!
