Resetting the parental controls

Mitsubishi VS-5072 rear projection tv. We had a power surge and when the tv came back on it went directly to the parental control screen which is asking for a code. We never set a code for it. I have read multiple fix's i.e. diconnect the power for 45 min...punch in this reset code 2011 or 3308...hold the channel down button on the tv and press clear on the remote for 8 seconds...nothing works any ideas?

thanks so much,

dennis

Mitsubishi mod. vs-5072 rolls how fix?

check for swollen capacitors- bad capacitors will cause the screen to roll. If the top of a capacitor even looks SLIGHTLY puffed up, replace it!

Mitsubishi model # vs-5055 will power off after a minute or so

Most older TV's require hand-soldering at least once in their lives, esp. regulator pins in power supply circuits. That work
