SOURCE: Radio stations

you have the constant and the turn on wires back wards, just switch the yellow and the red wires. if that does not work, then you may not have the red and yellow connected to the right wires,

with the ignition off, take the yellow and put it to what you think it goes too, and the red to the one you think it goes to. If you do not hear the cd player make a click and running sound, it is not wired correctly, check other wires ont he car to make sure you have the right one.

SET TIME kenwood dpx503bt

Try turning off the "time sync" setting and see if it does it. With this setting is on, the radio will automatically synchronize itself to whatever radio station your listening to. (Signal sent along with the carrier )

Gotta kenwood kr820. Set on radio station, have to turn it all the way up n barely hear it. When in between stations, volume works very well. Any suggestions

Hello Mark, ask, do you do this with FM stations, like with AM stations?
If so, you may have a power problem with the radio stage, if it is only FM, check the antenna connection or you may have a problem in the Multiplex decoder circuit
If you can not solve it, I suggest you go to a specialized technical service
Greetings Franco Dosil

Wont save stations

There are 2 battery feeds to the radio.

The Main one via the Ignition Switch . This is used to switch the radio ON

The other is a permanently connected battery feed that retains the radio memory features...ie..the code and the radio station settings.

It looks as though it is this permanent battery feed that is missing.

Check the fuses and the connectors/wiring at the rear of the radio

How do i set the music stations

Turn on the desired radio station, press and hold the '1' button till you hear a beep. Now this station is programmed on this button, till you remove the +12V Memory wire from the device. On kenwood devices it is the yellow wire on the main connector.

How to lock in radio station on kenwood face off cd player

once you have the station you want to listen to on the radio press and hold one of the buttons along the bottom of the stereos face for a few seconds the screen should flash for a second or two or it should beep as well to indicate its saved it.

if when you turn the ignition off and then turn it back on the stereo has forgotten the station you programmed you need to remove the stereo from the car and check the wiring at the back of the unit. most of them have a red and yellow wire that are joined by metal push fit connectors, swap these two over and it will then remember the station for you.

the red wire is the switched power lead from the ignition and the yellow lead is a constant live feed for it to remember your settings, if these are round the wrong way it will keep forgetting radio stations you program until you switch them over.

Radio

Hello george_nutti,

The model number you posted is for a center channel speaker which has no controls, and not knowing the exact model number it's difficult to be specific.

Some Kenwood KDC models allow you to select one of 3 "tuning modes", 1) AUTO1 - Automatic search for stations; 2) AUTO2 - Search Preset stations; 3) MANUAL - Normal manual tuning control. If your Kenwood is one of these models, you need to set the tuning mode to MANUAL. For Kenwood Excelon HD receivers, direct access tuning is done by using the included remote. 1) Press DIRECT button on the remote; 2) Press number buttons to enter desired channel number; 3) Press DIRECT button again to exit direct tuning.

Hope this helps.
