How to repair a lg dryer dlex3470v

See the groove on the edge where the gasket fits onto the door? As you peel away the gasket, you'll see how you need to thread the gasket onto the door flange so that the gasket will fit properly.

Use a silicone-based spray on lube to help it slide back on. Start at the top & work your way around the edge pressing the gasket groove onto the metal as you go. You might not even need a new gasket unless it is damaged.

Remove the back, to replace the battery

You need either a caseback knife or caseback wrench depending on whether it's a screwdown or snap-on back. If it's a snap-on, you'll also need a caseback presser to put it back on. Using the wrong tools can easily cause damage to your watch. If the watch is "water-resistant" be sure to replace the gasket as well or it will leak - you cannot reuse the gasket. You best bet to do this without having to buy tools, find the correct battery and gasket and risking scratching the watch is to let a watch shop or jeweler do it. Most places will charge about $8 to replace the battery and gasket. Sears sometimes charges only $4 so either way it's worth it. Even though I have the tools myself I usually bring my watches in and have it done since I'd have to go out and buy the battery & gasket anyway.

The front leaks but I have not found any damage to the rubber boot . I pulled on it and the spring collar came out. How do I put it back.

It needs to be seated inside a groove in the gasket itself, and the door gasket needs to be mounted first to compress it and install inside the gasket. It flexes out to hold the gasket in place. By the way, coat the gasket with Vaseline when the gasket is reinstalled, then try rotating the gasket clockwise if it leaks. Your gasket may appear fine, but an inner gasket break is very hard to detect, and rotating the cracked part to the upper area can stop your leak.

How do I replace the door gasket on a Westinghouse front loading washing machine? Have taken off the front steel ring that holds the gasket in place, but looks like I need to take the front panel off the...

The step by step procedure to replace the head gasket are:
  1. Open door and pull on inside of gasket to expose screws or 1/4 nuts.
  2. Loosen[do NOT remove] all screws and pull old gasket out.
  3. Place new gasket in sink of hot water to soften it and put back around door.
  4. Snug up a couple of screws on each side and test seal by shutting door.
  5. You may need to adjust inner panel until just right..then tighten all screws

1996 F150 Back glass leaking

The black plastic is a gasket around the window. The window is held in with a black silicone, you need to take a knife and work it around the window untill it is free. Make sure you can get the gasket first. When my daughters car needed a new gasket I found it was just as cheep to have a glass company do the job as just the gasket woud have cost.

LG WM2032HW gasket replacement

I have changed these without disassembling the unit. Just remove the spring from the gasket, then peel back the gasket to remove the inner spring. This is the easy part, getting the inner spring back on is a pain in the neck, but it can be done. The spring will give you problems either way. Good Luck
