Sony vaio blank screen

Possible clock timing of CPU is wrong. Is it two fan on this laptop? Maybe one is not functioning. Plus check your power supply if gives correct power!.. If none of this , it comes to the MB and possible a CAPS making problem. Need expert.

My sony vaio vgn-fs840/w laptop powers on but the screen is blank. I currently replaced the DC jack due to not powering on at all, now it powers on but I lost my screen.Thank you, Ben

turn on with battery if boot there problem is on the jack.
reset the bios battery .
check if u cut the mainboard during changing the jack.

this might be hardware bug... only the manufacturers can deal with it.. so better call a service man from sony

No screen and no sound power and battery indicator is on but hard drive indicator is off

Unplug the power adapter and take the battery out. After a minute, plug them back in and push the power button.

Pls consider changing ur RAM issue will be resolved most likely ok let me know , there is strong chance ur RAM is faulty, if power comes but unable to start the system u see blank screen and no hard disk activity and light blinking then it is the RAM issue

pls rate me if i solved ur problem or explain ur problem in detail
