My Whirlpool Conquest 25.55 cu. ft. Model # GS6SHAXLQ01 is about 7 years old. I left it on when I was out for 4 weeks. In my absence there was a 15 hour power failure. On return I found that although the lights and the sound of the motor running are OK, but it is NOT cooling and also NOT making ice. I emptied and cleaned it throroughly. I also vaccumed the condensor coils behind the front grill at the bottom. It was very dirty. Then I started the refrigerator again but it is still NOT cooling even after 6 hours of running even though the lights are ON and the sound of the refrigerator running seems normal. Ice is NOT forming but water does flow out of the dispenser. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP.
I have a Whirlpool Side By Side (Model #ED2PHEXM) refrigerator that is not cooling or freezing. Lights work and fan is running. Sounds as it always did but freezer not freezing or fridge not cooling. Cleaned it and dusted thoroughly...no luck!!
Your condensor had been chocked therefore the gas is not circulating. contact your service authority..... as because it cannot be done by your self.

You have a relay on the compressor called a PTC relay. That little guy is bad. Make note of the wires and where they go. Take the relay and make and model number to a appliance repair house and get a new one. To remove the relay you have to remove the wire retainer clip and take off black cover then pry off the little relay they are on snuggly just pull straight off. let me know if I can help any more. ken
