Did you try a System Restore/recovery? Unplug, remove battery, plug in, reboot . To switch between screens try pressing the FN key and F5. You should not have to restart you computer. As for the TV error "invalad signal" you might have to change the screen resolution on you computer. You might have to try a few different resolution before you find one your tv accepts.

Please try the following
1) Go to www.devicedoctor.com and download and install the software
2) Load up the program and then click on 'begin scan'
3) This will scan and hopefully pick up the missing drivers for your sound
4) Click on download for the sound drivers
5) Install the drivers and enjoy
