So far as it looks from other information in the works that this problem is caused by defective media. I always use Taiyo Yuden discs and have had few rejections in over 600 discs. Supermediastore is where disc supplies can be had as well as information on the error rates of different media being produced. The complaints recently were due to a bad batch released of hhb brand discs.

SOURCE: Still waiting for someone to contact me about

Hello
Its system control section does not get power at all. All other sections are working. This is due to a power supply section trouble inside. There is four regulators, fitted on-board, to regulate supply to different sections. Out of which, system control and display section doesn't gets proper voltage, Actually this is not a user repairable fault. A skilled work indeed. The technican must have a sound knoledge in digital electroncie to proceed with service. Just contact any service technician who is experienced in serviceing digital audio equipments. Never touch to system control section, without proper knoledge. Will make the device irrepairable. OK.

NOW OPC error my Tascam CD-RW750 Only using a cd-rw

All I can think of is to try other makes of blank discs. Also, if your machine ever comes up 'ERROR' and you have no control of any functions including powering it off or on-remove the plug from the wall and wait about a minute, then plug it back in.

After i have finish recording and i am finalizing the the cd code OPC appears on the screen, and being finalize the cannot play in other cd player why?

OPC means the unit had trouble Optical Processing Calibration, which means the disc surface may be damaged. Using brand name media and being careful to not touch the recording surface would help.

It's not completing the finalization so it won't play in a CD player yet.

It's mostly in the manual

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Harman-Kardon-CDR-20-CD-Players-manual/id/386dj191/t/2/

OPC: Stands for Optical Processing Calibration.

When you see this message in the Information

Display for the Record DeckK, it means

that the laser transport inside the unit is making

the calibrations and adjustments needed so that

the recording process is optimized for the specific
disc in use.

When an unfinalized CD-R or CD-RW disc is

placed in the Record Deck%, the letters

OPCwill flash once the Table of Contents has

been read. This indicates that the unit is optimizing

its circuits for maximum compatibility with

the specific recordable disc in use. the number

and total running time of any tracks that have

already been recorded will appear in the

Information DisplayK, and the appropriate

indicator SPwill light to tell you if a CD-R or
CD-RW disc is in use.

To Finalize a disc, place it in the Record

Drawer%. Once the disc's Table of Contents

information has been read and the OPC process

has been completed, press the Finalize button

E@and note that the Finalize Indicator

Uwill begin to flash. Within three seconds,

press the Select button9*and note that

the Finalize IndicatorUwill stop flashing.

The Finalization process will take up to two

minutes, depending on the length of material

recorded on the disc. During the Finalization

process the Record Deck will not accept any
operating commands.

Cd will not eject. Keeps giving message "Now OPC" but will not do anything and will not eject cd either.

To remove a stuck CD from Tascam CC222 MKII

This solved the "Now OPC" problem

1. Unplug unit

2. Remove the top cover, (3 screws on each side and 3 on the back, lift cover).

3. Plug in unit.

4. Power on the unit to observe the drive spindle spinning clockwise, (1" disc on top of drive).

5. Turn off unit, do not unplug at this time.

6. Use a small screwdriver to prevent the drive spindle from spinning.

7. Power on the unit preventing the spin.

8. In approximately 10 seconds the display will read "Disc Error" and the CD tray will open.

9. Remove the screwdriver and the disc.

10. Turn off the unit and unplug.

11. Replace the cover.

12. Use a better quality disc.

Cd will not eject. Keeps giving message "Now OPC" but will not do anything and will not eject cd either.

look near the disk tray for a little tiny pin whole and take a paper clip and bend it straight now poke it into that whole until it open this is the manual way of ejecting disks if all else fails
