What about copy??

Open the lid of your scanner and press the copy button do you see any light moving below the glass .. if no then its a hardware issue contact HP for service

Try using the HP Scan Diagnostic Utility in Windows - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

In the scanning software of the printer there is an option to select PDF as your default.
Please go into the scanning software feature located in the program menu.

Please install new driver and get it downloaded here : www.siliconguide.com > Drivers > Printer > HP

You will have to reinstall the printer/scanner drivers (check on the internet for your type/model and download the drivers if you can't find the original install cd). u can try scanning from Ms paint .. on the file click on scanner and cameras
if that also does not work you will need to reinstall the all in one

Go to www.hp.com and let the website detect your printer and automatically download the software.

Download and install driver.

please reset your printer. turn off your printer, leave it for 30 sec and turn it on again....
