I found this solution on another review, hope it works
Model Number: Proscan 26" LCD HDTV w/ Built-in DVD Player26LB30QD "pro: good price, TV picture is clear and DVD player is compatible well.
con: sound noise
There was hum when I first turned the TV on, then I followed these instructions (found it from other review) to fix the hum issue:
1. Turn tv on
2. Input mode should be tv
3. Turn volume to zero
4. With remote enter 9 8 7 6
5. A menu will appear on left side
6. Arrow down to backlight and with right arrow key move number from 81 to 83, press menu button twice,
7. Turn up volume and listen if hum is gone."
It works,no hum."

I had the same problem at one time, however it was only on one channel, WGN to be exact, it only did it that one time and only on that channel, call your cable company maybe they can fix it through a filter or something.

My proscan plded3992a-c is flickering

Flickering can be adjusted. To some rare cases, the SMPS [Power] board might need replacement. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

I have 39 inch proscan model plded3996a and the picture is flicker everything else work fine

Flicker to picture can be adjusted. To some sets, you have to adjust it at its main power supply regulator section [there will be flicker adjustment preset]; and to some others, you have to enter its service mode option to adjust this. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Type in the phrase 'Flicker adjustment' or "Flicker" in the search box [at the top right] of the display window and the Search will start at once as you type in, and will show you all the related posts. It will make surf easy.

My 55in.240 hz proscan tv flickers

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. The output DC voltages comes outfrom it is not normal; and so the flicker occurs. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time.

Proscan 40" LED tv. Picture is flickering between fully bright and faded looking. Sound is fine. Could it be a bulb and is it worth fixing? TV is 14 months old.

Check the DC output voltages output from the main power regulator board [SMPS]. If it is abnormal, flickering can occur.

Problem with proscan 19LA25Q

Watching a movie tonight...and slowly there was odd behavior from the screen. No volume at first, then flickering, fragmenting and now, as the others only shows the red power. I have noticed some strange flickering the past 2 weeks or so. I thought it may be the cable, so did not concern myself too much. I believed that was the problem tonight as well. But the screen is definately not responding to the remote or manual button.

Thanks
