I have 2 of these instruments and it seems at least one is always down. It doesn't take very long for the service technician to repair it, but it costs a fortune to get one out here. can I take care of this myself?

I'm in the same boat. I have 2 and one is always down. I bought the control board assembly (part #3365738/ $1475) and a Tach assembly (part# 368253/ $58). I had an electrician install them, but had to figure out the sequence of "secret codes" to get the system reset to recognize the new parts. It is currently working. I got a quote on a service manual for the Allegra X-22R centrifuge and it costs about $4000... a bit much. I didn't get that one. I don't have a spincron 15 so I woldn't know the button sequence to get it to recognize the new part(s). Good luck.
