I have an invicta model number 6391, and I thought it was supposed to glow at night, but it doesn't seem to. Is there anything special I have to do to get it to glow?? Thank you for your time

IF THE WATCH HAS LUMINOUS HANDS AND DIALS THEN THIS IS THE WAY TO ACTIVATE IT TO GLOW.YOU EITHER HAVE TO SHINE A FLASHLIGHT DIRECTLY ON THE WATCH FOR A BOUT A MINUTE OR PUT IT UNDER A BRIGHT LIGHT FOR ABOUT A MINUTE.IT SHOULD THEN GLOW BUT THIS ONLY LAST FOR ABOUT MAYBE AN HOUR.

Battery

The Casio Forester FT500WVB watch has an EL (Electroluminescent) backlight and requires one silver oxide button battery. The SR621W battery (also known as type 363) is recommended by the instruction manual for the watch. Note the suffix "W" means this battery is a high drain type which is suitable for powering a watch mechanism and the EL light as well for 2 to 3 years, depending on use of the light. "SW" suffix batteries are low drain and are intended only to power a watch mechanism, and not a light. Note also the "SR" prefix indicates the battery is silver oxide and not lithium. The SR type batteries do not use mercury and are therefore safer to dispose of when they are discharged. I have found the type SR626W (also known as type 377) battery is also suitable for the FT500WVB watch and it has more stored power and should therefore last longer.

Last, the Casio Forrester FT500WC looks exactly like the FT500WVB, but it is a different watch internally. The FT500WC has an LED light and requires two batteries- the SR920SW low drain silver oxide battery which powers the watch mechanism and the CR1616 lithium battery which powers the LED. The LED is brighter than an EL light and stays on longer than the EL light when activated. But the LED has a bright dot light source that some might find annoying.

Flashing charge

I couldn't find your model on thier web site but this range appears to have solar panels to charge the battery. Place your watch in bright sunlight or under a lamp (not a hot one) to charge the battery.

If this fails, consult your nearst dealer.

My Swatch Irony watch has recently been running slow. I thought it might be a low battery, but after a replacement, it still loses time (a few minutes each day). Any ideas?

Thank you for contacting Fixya,
I would have the battery checked again. Sometimes batteries in stores can be past the extended life of battery. Otherwise could be a number of issues. Has it been around water? Dropped? Could need cleaning. In cases of most watches, like Swatch, the cost to have repaired may exceed the watch.
You can contact Swatch at:
http://www.swatch.com/zz_en/shop.html

"LoBATT" stays on in TIME mode (doesn't flash) ?

"lobatt" display is the watch battery. The foot pod uses the LED to indicate low battery and the heart rate monitor wont give a reading.

Wenger watch second hand pauses and skips ahead 4 seconds, it's keeping time find. Seems to just have started.

That is a low battery indicator. It will do that until the battery is replaced or is dead. When it does that it means its time to change the battery.

Second hand jumps by two or three seconds at a time

this is a low battery warning indicator, all you need to do is have your battery changed, or if it is a solar powered watch just set it under a bright light to let it charge the rechargable battery.
