I believe it started happening when I replace my PC a few months ago. Troubleshooting says go to Dell All-in-One Center, center is not found on my PC.

MY PRINTER WILL PRINT IN FADED COLOR. I REPLACE BOTH COLOR AND BLACK INK CARTRIDGES. STILL NO PRINT. THE LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED WAS A FEW MONTHS AGO AND I WAS TOLD I NEEDED A NEW PRINT HEAD. THIS WILL BE...

If you are not using the printer that often, the ink may be drying out.. once the ink is dry on the printhead, it could very well be the cause of the problem.

Check out the link below:

For image quality issues, this is the place to go for troubleshooting them and getting a replacement head if needed.

HP 5510 Scanner/Copier/Fax Stuck

I had the same problems some months ago. I only solved it when I deleted the printer settings from my computer and reinstalled the software, making sure that I installed all the components from the CD. Also make sure that the printer is on fax default setting when you are using it as fax. You can check this by going to My Computer then Control Panel, then choose Printers and Other Hardware then choose Printers and Faxes. You can then set as default hp Officejet 5500 series fax. Hope these suggestions help.

Black ink is faded or doesn't print at all

Once installed, Kodak All-in-One printer Home Center software allows you to print, copy, scan, and configure your All-in-One printer from your Windows XP or Vista computer.
To open the Home Center software window on your computer, use the Home Center icon on the Desktop or in the Start Menu

From the All-in-One printer Home Center main menu, selecting one of the six menu items enables you to:
  • Scan pictures and documents
  • Enhance and copy pictures
  • Enhance and print images
  • Configure settings for printing, copying, and scanning from the control panel
  • Access the Kodak Tips and Projects Center Web site.
  • Order supplies from the Kodak Web site.

Blurry Scanning/Copying

Are you scanning both black and white and color the same way? The ADF (automatic document feeder) uses a different scanning area than when you place the document on the scanning glass. If you open the scanner cover, look to the left of the main scanner glass to the narrow strip used for the ADF. Make sure this narrow strip is clean -- no ink or white-out or scratches. This can make your copies look dirty or smudged.

Brother MFC7820N

I assumed you are using a digital copier/printer, in digital machine there were 2 kinds of diagnosing a problem, and you are right with your observation Copying and Printing, and each have two separate troubleshooting.

If you say that in printing is fine, then the problem is with the scanning part which is in your Optical Unit, here's some pointers

1- Open the optical glass on the top, with screws

2- Observed the optical unit with 3 reflective glass, it could be dirty
3- the middle of the optical system is called the CCD which converts the image from the reflective mirrors, see if you can find dust and dirt.
4- Check the lamp for any sign of dirt this could cause also some problems.

these are the only areas you need to check, nothing else, and this would surely solve this problem

Kodak 5100 will not print consistently

I am currently having the same problem with a 17" iMac Intel Core Duo.  The printer worked fine for a few months, now it will only print in black and white and sometimes in color that is extremely faded.  I have tried every troubleshooting tip in the book and still no luck.
