SOURCE: Digital panasonic kx-t7633

The 7633 has a FWD/DND button. Is it blinking, lit solid or dark? It's designed to be pressed 3 times for FWD DND or OFF....It's programmed as follows, assuming that 500 is your voice mail access code:

From the intercom dial *7101. That sets DND. Dial 710x 500 # to set call forwarding where x-2 for all calls 3 for BUSY for for NO ANS 5 for BSY/NA. 7&8 are FOLOW ME commands and they have a different set of instructions ie Dial *7107 plus your extension to have calls come to the phone you're at and *7108 plus your extension to cancel it. I have never seen it used. *7100 cancels all forward and DND arrangements from your phone..

This is just hte command set for ALL CALLS. You can also set up forwarding for Outside Calls and Inside calls seperately and you can program buttons to do the forwarding.

Your Panasonic dealer has 2 manuals that you would find interesting, one is the TDA Operating Manual and the PTPM Manual. The operating manual has a complete set of programming instructions for the manager and users of TDA systems, the PTPM has a complete set of programming features that can be performed from a Panasonic 76XX display phone.

THe pdf's aren't huge and they can be sent to your email address if you provide one under the Ask Me button.

How do you rerecord the out going message on a Panasonic KX-TG4221?

To record a new greeting on the Panasonic KX-TG4221, make sure that the phone is in standby (no handsets in use). Press Menu on a handset. Use the up/down arrows to navigate to Answering Device and press OK (Menu). Again use the up/down arrows to navigate to Greeting and press OK. Navigate to Record Greeting and press OK. Select Yes (from the Yes/No) options and press OK. After you hear the beep, hold the handset about 8 inches (20 cm) away from you and recite the message. Press OK when finished. Press Off to exit the menu system. The previous greeting will be deleted as you do the above steps. (The manufacturer's pre-recorded greeting will only play if you do not have a recorded greeting. You can listen to the greeting by following the first three steps above and then choosing Check Greeting. See page 24 of the manual for the steps to record a new Greeting. The manual is available on the product page: http://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/KX-TG4221N.html . The answering machine out going message is a pre recorded message with a British lady's voice. We have our company message recorded as per manual, what are we doing wrong?

Marianne
If a personal greeting has not been stored, the pre-recorded greeting is played.
unfortunately the user manual does not say how to store a greeting but I am assuming you have to press 2 to accept the new recorded greeting and hopefully it will store the recording as it is not really explained in the user manual on the process on how to store a greeting.

Model KX-TG4021 - How do I put in a new answering message?

To record a new greeting, you must use the handset. Press Menu and use the Up/Down arrows to reach the "Answering System" line. Press OK and then navigate to the Greeting. Press OK again. Select the line "Record Greeting" and press OK. Select Yes to confirm recording a new greeting and press OK. After the beep, hold the handset about 8" away and speak clearly. Recite the entire message that you wish to record; the message must be under 2 minutes long. Press OK to save the greeting and press End to exit the sub-menu. Make sure that the answering system is on (and set to pick up on fewer rings than any other voice mail system, if your telephone provider offers one, for example). Make sure that the memory is not full. The system can only accept 18 minutes of recordings, including the greetings.

The manual for the KX-TG4021 is available from the product page: http://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/KX-TG4021N.html . The direct link to the manual is http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/KXTG4011-MUL.PDF . (Note: there are several models that use the same manual.) See page 27 and the subsequent pages. The N indicates the region in which Panasonic sold the model.

I hope this helps

How do I record or change a recorded message on the Panasonic KX-T7730?

A Panasonic 7730 phone operates on 18 different Panasonic Key Systems. There are 5 or so different ways to record a message...which one is yours?

The 7730 was first delivered with the TA-824 system. It has the ability for announcements via DISA, which was built in to the USA versions of the TA. It's recorded or changed via the master phone and PROGRAM 911.

A Panasonic TVA or TVS voice mail system does auto attendant functions. It can have both company greetings and custom service messages. Those are changed via mailbox 998, the message manager's box.

Last, the newer system also have "bulit-in" voice mail boxes. Those greetings are recorded by 722xx commands.

Cannot go back to default greeting message

According to the Operating Instructions for this machine, chapter 7.1.1. says that by erasing your recorded message, the machine should be set to play the pre-recorded greeting message again. And I guess you can then go on and try to record a new message, hopefully it will be more successful this time. I don't have this machine myself, but I wish you good luck!

The pre recorded message on the answering machine has been lost.

I read thru the manual. There is nothing bout recovery of factory messages. If you recorded your own, try deleting it. Or unplug the base from power and try a reset. This is from the manual. At the end, I gave you a link to the manual!

Using a pre-recorded greeting
message
If you erase or do not record your own
greeting message, the unit plays a prerecorded
greeting message for callers
and asks them to leave messages. If the
message recording time (page 39) is set
to “Greeting only”, caller messages
are not recorded and the unit plays a
different pre-recorded greeting message
asking callers to call again.
